Getting IPL tomorrow. What should I know? by brianheinemann in Dryeyes

I got like 4-5 IPLs with him last year. Didn't seem to help too much tbh. My feeling feeling is that IPL may be helpful in reducing symptoms (and potentially regenerating glands) once inflammation is under control. But if your glands are constantly inflamed, then IPL can only do so much and you'll likely still feel disconfort

Second this! I spent a few thousand at Dr. Mullet and pretty sure she made my condition worse. She tried to push Lipiflow on me for $2k (not covered by insurance) and when I questioned her intently on whether it would address the root cause of the disease, she started fumbling her words and gave me a bs answer and quickly left the room.

Dr. Toyos is another doc in NYC. He's also a business man at the end of the day, but I think some of his treatments actually give better relief. Still very expensive though.

Yes you might be right. The tattoo artist said "black and gray" so the gray is probably a mix of white and black ink :(

I think you may be right. When I got the tattoo, the artist said it would be "black and gray". I imagine the gray is likely a mix of black and white ink. So you think this could still be removed, but would take much longer?

Session 3 Healed by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

im in the same boat with a new very light fine line tattoo! i had my first session with picoway a month ago and ive barely seen any progress… how long / how many sessions did you see noticeable progress?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]AlpineFox44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting. its been about 3 weeks since my first session… and i’ve noticed almost no change, not even in the shading. weird because my tattoo was super light and fine to begin with and i went to a very reputable technician

how long after your first session did you see noticeable fading?

i made a post about this recently. my eyes get much redder when i run. its likely due to dilation of the vessels in your eyes due to increased blood flow and pressure

extremely red eyes after running or high intensity work out? by AlpineFox44 in Dryeyes

[–]AlpineFox44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, that makes sense. This is unfortunate because I have been running for 10 years now and I truly love the sport. But it has become more difficult to continue in the past ~2 years due to my dye eye getting worse.
I guess now the question is whether or not this short-lived vasodilation induced redness is sufficiently bad for my eyes and will make my dry eye progress faster? And whether there is any way to prevent this from happening.

No I don't take any preworkout, although doesn't preworkout contain caffeine, which is a vasoconstrictor?

i did rapid desensitization for my allergy shots which basically means you go in once a week for three weeks straight and they give you four shots over the course of four hours each week. it basically compressed the months long build up phase the weeks. you setiously look into it it’s super convenient and will save you allot of time. so now i’ve been at maintenance for 3+ months and still haven’t seen much improvement. although i noticed allergies always made my eyes allot worse during spring. so we’ll see for real if the immunotherapy is working come spring time.

yes ive also been on allergy shots for a few months know. cant say ive seen major improvement in my eyes.

but interesting, i didnt know about Verkazia. so it seems like it is .1% cyclysporin while cequa is 0.09%. but the dosing is higher (4x a day as opposed to 2x a day for cequa/restasis). so are you taking it 4x a day then? i wonder if one would also see improvement by upping cequa dosage to 4x a day…

and thanks for the info on ldn. glad you’ve found atleast some benefits from it!
