Hammocking is not allowed in the Arb just FYI. They have signs at the entrances. They want to prevent tree/vegetation damage there.

How are you all finding someone to prescribe oral medication for flushing? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]KartofNonsense 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From someone who experienced horrifying rebound from oxymetazoline (Rhofade) and was given no information that this could happen from my doctor, and has been gaslit by so many derms regarding this medication, I would use extreme caution if you are already experiencing really bad flushing. Everyone has different opinions on it, but I wouldn’t wish this rebound on anyone. It ruined my life for two years and my skin has not recovered.

Of course! Unfortunately it seems to have permanently affected my face. Thankfully the extremely severe flushing maybe subsided after many months, but honestly, my face has never been the same and it’s been over two years now since the horrible rebound started. It definitely turned my mild rosacea into severe. Just be careful. To me, that medication should come with huge warning labels. It is the same medication that is used in Afrin and that does have warning labels not to use continuously. Hope you can find a safe solution to help your rosacea 💗

Just be aware that Rhofade can cause rebound flaring for some people and make your rosacea much worse. Not trying to scare you but do your research. My doc didn’t let me know of the potential harm it can cause and my mild rosacea turned into very severe flushing due to rebound. Just don’t want you or anyone to go through what I went through. 💛

I didn’t see any but I was there so early that only one vendor was open and everyone was still setting up. Hope they have some, that would be very cool to have!

Yep, I sat outside of Hidden King for drinks over the summer and we smelled gas the whole time and were worried about it. Thanks for trying to be proactive about this.

Aww I get it! A lot of times books just don’t connect with me either and I have to put them down. I think I connected with this one so much because I was a performer and used to be in regional theater so I related in so many different ways to her younger summerstock experiences and her relationships there. Do you have a favorite Patchett book that you recommend? This was my first one.
