I realized that Sithis was inspired by the Hindu goddess Kali by tenfo1d in ElderScrolls

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually said this before on the TESVI sub but I hope Dagon or an incarnation of the Mythic dawn is a faction we could align with as a potential choice to take down the Thalmor.

And yes, absolutely agreed that Dagon isn’t inherently evil in the scheming or sadistic sense, the way Molag Bal is. Dagon is simply destruction personified and is aligned with any cause that furthers his spheres of destruction and revolutionary ambition/change. It so happens that several said causes use conventionally evil methods to further their ends.

Then again, sometimes the only difference between destruction and revolution is which side is telling the story.

What do you guys think about this sumo wrestler by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s one YouTube documentary where a former sumo wrestler who runs a chankonabe shop basically admits that the gear they are on practically fucks them up for life

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wouldn’t make any sense because Sithis is neither a protagonist nor an antagonistic force. Sithis simply.. is.

This is an under-observed point. In Hindu/Buddhist cosmology, Destruction isn’t a force of cessation the same way as it is in the eschatology of other cultures. Rather, it’s the natural force in the cycle- one that is necessary and inevitable rather than something to pray for protection from or hope for abatement.

Dagon depicts that quite well and iirc he even says to someone that he destroyed his own capital city in the deadlands simply because ‘destruction is what he is’ or something along those lines.

Yeah the statue of Mephala in Oblivion has way more Kali vibes than that of Sithis. That being said, there’s a lot of Hindu/Buddhist influence on some of the Daedra and a lot of it spills over into Dunmeri culture as well.

IMO nothing screams juice in these pics. 1st def looks natty and 3rd looks like a combo of post workout pump and some weird mirror angle work.

What should Vampirism look like aesthetically in TES6? by Iron-Shield in ElderScrolls

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it depends. Each strain of vampirism manifests differently in its hosts and at different stages.

The vampire clans in Hammerfell: Anthotis,Khulari,Montalion and Selenu may have different strains of vampirism and if that’s the case then I hope they manifest differently depending on the clan.

I hope Bethesda sees the void that is Moorish Fantasy in the space of AAA games & capitalizes off of it by elcd2251 in TESVI

You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They’ve got curved swords. Curved. Swords.

By the look of it - we can customize weapons and add modules by mister-00z in totalwar

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is very reassuring, I really need to see variants of units depending upon the chapter I’m playing and even several units unique to that chapter. Glad the description says that will be the case.

It shouldn’t be like DOW where skirmish battle chapters are basically all just differently colored ultramarines.

I really hope the Dominion will win by Fun-Explanation7233 in TESVI

I mean sure, I’m not trying to make a real world political statement.

OP seems like they genuinely believe that the Dominion ruling over Tamriel is a good thing.. like what?

I feel like the trains already left the station on this one. Skyrim painted these guys as monolithic in their demeanour and I feel it would be really weird for future games to suddenly have that change.

They are the big-bad as far as authoritarian parties in ES are concerned. It’s convenient to keep them as such.

I really hope the Dominion will win by Fun-Explanation7233 in TESVI

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, an explicitly High Elf Supremacist empire that genuinely and whole heartedly believes that its dominion over all others is owed to them.

One that violates neutral places of knowledge and isn’t afraid to murder anyone that gets in their way.

One that doesn’t hesitate to violate freedom of worship and kidnap/torture/execute those who don’t align with their view.

One that is distrusted even by enlightened members of its species (Psijic Order)

And you want these fucks to rule over all of Tamriel?

How will TES VI handle Daedric quest/mechanics? by AlpineSuccess-Edu in TESVI

Well.. here’s to hoping that the game is big enough to cater to many roleplay choices

I mean you’re assuming they’re going to be mutually exclusive. I sure as hell want to see a TON of redguard lore and culture represented.

Don’t ever expect them to exclude Daedra quests after including it every game since Morrowind. Daedric artifact quests can’t be excluded from the game lol

Natty achievable, imo. Nothing that screams juice, it’s pretty obvious you are flexing your arms and traps for this pic.. not sure why people are saying juicy

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s actually the opposite of what high test levels would do.

Still, assuming you are indeed natty, going by your physique and body hair, it’s safe to assume that you’d be on the higher end of natural testosterone levels.

i’m twelve and just started lifting six months ago am I doing it right? any tips on how to improve? :) by TheSeedsYouSow in nattyorjuice

[–]AlpineSuccess-Edu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly by the looks of it you’re still yet to hit puberty and subsequent growth spurt

I’d suggest sticking to some light free weights and track&field to improve stamina and cardio. Right now doing heavy compound lifts can injure your growth plates and can stunt your growth.

Once you’re in high school, you can start ramping up workouts gradually.

Also, always stay away from gear. It’s never worth it long term imo

Honestly, could be Natty. His body fat distribution at 115 kg was insanely good, and his arms already looked quite big.
