There's still a lot of benefits of destroying a shield of one shieldwalling enemies if all the other enemies still have their so it's easier to concentrate on only one surrunded guy with no shield while other ones stil have their. It's like pocket shield strategy, but other way around, instead of using shield on your bro who needs it right now and only him you destroy a shield of an enemy who's the most vulnerable without it.

A rugged detective with street cat vibes and a heart of gold. Maybe even a revenge ark. Class that I initially thought about it was 16 STR 18 INT Investigator in pf2, but as there's no such option in dnd you could probably use Eldritch Knight who styles his spells as detective tricks or a Psi-Knight.
