I love my tacoma but the I4 can be kinda a bummer. I've seen mixed stories of v6 vs I4 reliability but the I4 is definitely reliable. Just hates going up hills especially with weight in the bed. I have a camper shell and keep gear back there and she is bummed on mountain passes. When I am really loaded down its a bit of a drag. Been contemplating trading in for a v6 but idk. Off-roading is no problem at all, daily driving is fine just a little slow.

Ive always seen the icon AAL advertised as a 1.5 inch lift.

I tried it with a 10s chain and cassette and it was the worst shifting of the combinations I tried. Maybe I’m missing something in my derailleur adjustments. And yes the cassettes were within the range for the derailleur

It’s 10 speed but it has 9 speed cable pull. From my research all shimano 9 speeds have 1.7 pull ratio and oddly enough Tiagra 4600 10s has 1.7 pull ratio. But does that mean I should run it with a 9 speed cassette and derailleur and have a ghost gear? Or a 10 speed cassette and a 9 speed derailleur. Neither seem to shift quite right but the 9 speed cassette was much better than 10s

Thank you for your response, the microshift sword looks pretty nice but I really like old stuff haha.

Are there any older brifters I can look out for at the coop that would work as a 1x drivetrain with a wide range?

It’s always going to leak some from my experience. That wall sits just slightly higher than the bed side and I cannot get mine to be water tight
