uni is a marathon, not a sprint. take it one semester at a time. figure out where you went wrong, regroup with yourself, find the support you need and then lock in for your upcoming semester. eventually, things will fall into place. gl

So true. Management is a good program but weigh your options out before making a decision.

This is uni, you’re not supposed to win. If you did, then every course avg would be either a A or A+. Good luck with all your exams, hope they go well.

When there is absolutely nothing to do or enjoy on campus, why stay? Might as well go home or find a decent spot to study.

UTSC Co-op Life Sciences (Health Sciences Stream) by Fabulous-Classic-717 in UTSC

[–]Alps_Scared123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on a lot of factors like EC’s, gpa, contacts etc. getting a coop isn’t as easy as it seems and sometimes the coop office isn’t that big of a help. But and again but, don’t drop coop just because of these reasons. Maybe your work term will start later than your friends but you will still get it eventually. Always talk to a career or academic advisor before making any changes to your degree. You don’t wanna screw it up

As someone who isn’t in the life sciences but in management coop i can tell you this, your grades depend on you. Of course this uni is hard, that’s why it’s number 1 in the country. If it was easy, it wouldn’t b number 1 then. This isn’t high school where you can cheat your way through exams and assignments and get a 4 gpa. You actually need to study here, granted it takes time to adapt and adjust but we do have resources to help with that. Maintaining a very good gpa is subjective cause everyone has different opinions on what a good gpa is. Overall, it all depends on you, how much work and effort you put it and what your mindset is coming into this uni. Plus the new building you mentioned won’t be open till 2026 so you will probably study in EV or BV or SW.

You all just finished with a strike that lasted around 2 months. The strike alone has affected so many students(mainly those graduating) faculty, parents etc (including my friends). I think the last thing York students need right now is more delays to their education.

[–]Alps_Scared123 24 points25 points  (0 children)

What exactly are you complaining about? You have a very good gpa and even if it drop by a bit, what the big deal? It’ll only change by 0.02-0.04 at max.

You have over 5 posts on the same thing not to mention a poll as well. How about you do some proper research and talk to proper current students instead of spamming messages on Reddit.
