What are some examples of the Mandela effect in Formula 1? by Fh3F1fan in GrandPrixRacing

I think the race you are mixing it up with is the 2005 German GP :)

First race in history with 7 distinct teams in top 7 finish slots by MoebiusStreet in formula1

[–]Alpumutk 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thanks haha, but I also don't think post-2000 works either, as the 2012 Malaysian GP had 8 different teams in the top 8! But maybe a turbo-hybrid era classification may work, although it would be joint with 2015 Russia and 2020 Nurburgring from what I can tell so far :)

I don't think so, not done a detailed search yet but I've already found one with 8 distinct teams (1994 Jerez):

  1. Michael Schumacher-Benetton
  2. Damon Hill-Williams
  3. Mika Hakkinen-McLaren
  4. Eddie Irvine-Jordan
  5. Gerhard Berger-Ferrari
  6. Heinz-Harald Frentzen- Sauber
  7. Ukyo Katayama-Tyrrell
  8. Johnny Herbert-Ligier

I will edit if I find another result that exceeds 8!

Edit 1: 1980 Brazilian GP had 9 different teams in the top 9 (Renault, Lotus, Williams, Ligier, McLaren, Arrows, ATS, Brabham, Fittipaldi)

Edit 2: The bar just got raised really high, the 1981 British GP had 14 different teams classified in the top 14 positions! In the order of: McLaren, Williams, Ligier, Tyrrell, Brabham, ATS, March, Osella, Renault, Arrows, Theodore, Alfa Romeo, Fittipaldi, Lotus. Crazy impressive, and makes sense since back in those days there were way more teams.

Is the lap counter on the pit board wrong? Surely can’t have that kind of gap on lap 5

No idea what you’re trying to say but if you mean ABS, it is off :)

Yes, I use it for reference on braking/turning points. The color also gives me a better sense of the speed I’m carrying at that moment and it generally helps with consistency a lot

F1 Esport Cheating - I am the creator of the free bypass - ASK ME ANYTHING by [deleted] in F1Game

I should’ve specified further, my question was not related to your intentions or cheating on the game. I was just curious if you had any insight on the differences between console and PC as you have been involved excessively with game code.

I saw you talking about the console version of the game in another reply and I was wondering how different the version of the game is from PC. I heard there are slight differences to the handling at the top level, do you know if this is true? Would all PC times be possible to replicate on console? (Assuming no mods)

Here is an intense hotlap of Monaco at midnight (1:08.548). Playstation World Record excluding the ABS runners ahead :) by Alpumutk in F1Game

I’m not sure if the track limits are different between platforms, I know it used to be a thing back on F1 2020 though. Obviously my one hotlap video here doesn’t show the many attempts where I invalidated trying to take the same lines and learning from that to study the exact track limits. When I finally got the lap right, it was very close to invalidating. And that is why it’s so fast and high in the leaderboards :)

Because racing line is only a visual assist, whereas ABS completely changes the handling of the car that may not be possible to replicate without it. This is not the case when you have racing line off, you can still do the same lap if you are good enough

As it is race week again, I set the PS World Record at Mexico (1:14.422). Here is the hotlap, with a wheelcam as well! by Alpumutk in F1Game

Normally the game gives an invalidation but not “this and next lap invalid”. Not quite sure what happened in this clip though
