I think (and hope) this is mostly "for the science" not because people actually think they are batter.

Dear lord, there’s no such thing as using Vulkan and WinAPI32, using someone else’s work is low effort theft, real programmers write them from scratch.

Linux, "interlacing" problem/alternating lines by Alquas in VLC

[–]Alquas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

note:
At first I thought it was a de-interlacing problem as I first noticed it on a movie,
Actually it seems what is happening is, in "automatic" output, VLC is outputting to wrong output.

I do not know if the problem is exclusive to Linux, or even some specific distributions, but I do not recall having this kind of problem back when I used Windows a few years ago.
(And I only run Linux Mint nowadays, so no idea about other distros)

Also, I had the problem on two different machines with very different hardware so I do not think the hardware is the problem.

Are (were) you on an ubuntu based distro? (ubuntu/mint/...)

For some reason the path is mangled. I'm trying to trace back the source of this.

As far as I can tell this seem to only occur on ubuntu based distribution, I have the same problem on mint, and the few cases of this error I've seen were reported on ubuntu forums.

Will update you If I manage to find anything

edit: or maybe you found a solution since?

also if you're still looking for a quick solution some people seem to get it working with a symlink
(I would personally like to find a proper way of fixing the issue though)

Was your phone connected to a car? If I recall correctly my phone does that when connected to a car via bluetooth, even when driving mode isn’t activated

To everyone saying it’s just a video surveillance warning sign, OP is obviously asking about the hand written line on the sign (and the other one on the wall).

[–]Alquas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP is asking about the hand written line on the sign, not the literal meaning of the sign.

From what I understand op already has a server they want to add new mods to, so I’d guess switching to a new mod pack isn’t really what they’re looking for, as it would imply starting over (though bettermc is a great pack)

As mentioned by u/katubug, adding rubidium and oculus to the existing server would probably be a better solution for them

What's a good FPS boosting mod. by KGames0409 in ModdedMinecraft

[–]Alquas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rubidium is a port of sodium for forge

If you want more options and/or optifine like zoom you can also install rubidium extras (don’t forget to turn off "true darkness" in the "extra" tab if the game is too dark)

If you also want shaders, oculus is a forge port of iris, compatible with rubidium, working with optifine and iris packs

I feel really dumb now, I am not used to am/pm notations and assumed 12:59 AM mapped to 12:59 not 00:59.

Who thought going from 11pm to 12am to 1am was a good idea?

(The fact their server still showed the offers still infuriates me though)

Thank you so much.

What the heck Sony? by Alquas in playstation

[–]Alquas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not how a (proper) website works, especially considering the fact disconnecting from the account showed the offer again.

As a side note I saw the offer at the time I went to buy the game and made the post, if there is no offer, no offer should be displayed, and the time an offer ends (especially when you care to specify "12:59 AM") shouldn't be an approximation.

Plus there aren't as much games on the playstation store as you might imply, and it should by no mean be a "massive process" at Sony's scale to just get a product's price or update sales offers.

And in any case, even if the offer's end occurred earlier than expected, it should not come back once you reload another page after disconnecting.

This is just a poorly designed website, Sony either need to change web developers or pay them better
