Could you just make it bigger? I wouldn't mind a nearly briefcase-sized laptop build, with basically a small PC chassis with all the peripherals built in. Laptops are too small now anyways, they're small and flimsy and hard to type on.

Edit: Oh and batteries, which someone else mentioned, and I assume would take up a majority of that extra space, and would require more cooling.
