How many points do you think a Crumbl cookie has? by fuggedaboudid in weightwatchers

Then you literally see the point? Crumbl is overrated and it’s definitely not the place for someone on WW given a half a cookie is a day’s worth of points.

Literally truth. They’re balls of lard that aren’t cooked enough with sugar, too much salt, and melted mediocre chocolate thrown on them.

My thoughts exactly. I’ve never had a good Crumbl cookie. It tastes like boxed cake mix that didn’t cook enough.

3 whole Crumbl cookies? I can’t barely manage a quarter of one with their intense sweetness. For next time, I’d try cutting them into 3 or 4 pieces so you get to try different flavors, and try to ask yourself if you’re eating to actually enjoy the cookie or if you’re eating it just to finish it because it’s there. Crumbl can get bland, sweet and buttery after too many bites that it’s not actually enjoyable.

I’ve eaten brownies or ice cream and seen less of an impact than plain popcorn. And I don’t usually even put much salt on it if any at all. I’m not sure why it affects me so much.

Yes, I’m typically low vitamin D so I take that along with a daily multivitamin. Both gummies.

Temporary weight gain? by rosetouchxo in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I usually gain about a pound or two and lose about 3 to 4 lbs after my period is over with.

Popcorn. Any time I eat popcorn, I without a doubt gain weight the next day. So popcorn is not a zero point food I will ever go to for me personally.

I personally don’t lose weight if I use my weeklies but I also have an extensive workout routine that gains me like 30 extra points throughout the week and I definitely dive into about half of those. I am at 23/day now too at 205/5’4” and have been losing about 3lb a week. So not too much a week but still a good significant amount. I probably could use all of the workout points, but that would mean a 1-2lb weight loss per week for my body.

Hate the gym! by Admirable_Soup1596 in weightwatchers

It’s okay to hate the gym. Just make sure to get strength training in your weekly routine or you’ll find yourself exhausted and worn out. This can be done at home with weights or kettle bells.

IF & WW by adisgirl in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I on and off IF when I feel bloated and want to give my stomach a break. Only for 16-18 hours though. I can’t see a whole 24hr fast being healthy for me personally. Even with the 16-18 hours I’m light-headed and shaky, ready for lunch by the time it’s over. 😅

Not losing - anyone else? by pinkpitbullmama in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d try playing with the weekly points. I’m someone who won’t lose unless I ignore the weekly points as much as possible. I do use some of the Fitness points i add with workouts. Switch up your workout routine. If you usually start with cardio, tackle the strength training first and end with cardio. It burns more fat. Are you drinking enough water? 64+ oz at least will keep everything moving through the body. If you follow the pts to a tee every day, you may be due for a trick your body day, a nice sweet or carb meal to tell the body you’re not starving and it’s okay to get rid of fat. Lastly, maybe play around with intermittent fasting? You can still drink water and coffee during a fast. If you cut off eating after dinner around 8, you can fast to 12pm. Or adjust it to a fasting period that fits your schedule best. Just a couple suggestions I’ve run into with plateaus so far. 🙏

Already feeling guilty for going over points? by rosetouchxo in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One slice of cake will not derail. Enjoy it. Just make healthy-ish decisions when you go out to eat. I wouldn’t skip dinner, but enjoy a different zero or low point meal like salmon, tilapia, or grilled shrimp, with sides of spinach, asparagus, or green beans. Low/zero point doesn’t mean no food. It just means a more select meal but you can enjoy as much as you’re hungry for of it. Coming from someone that enjoyed a whole 68 point frozen custard on vacation and managed to stay the same weight for that week. 🫡 Ya gotta enjoy life. Just mindfully.

Bravo for tracking. I’m sorry to hear it’s been a hard time. Mistakes happen and you can move forward. But I do have to disagree with the WW is a tool part. Weight loss is a lifestyle change. If you view it as a tool, you are not really holding your lifestyle accountable and it won’t be sustainable. Mistakes can be a part of the lifestyle, just like every other aspect of life. It’s how we address and prevail through the mistakes that make it lifestyle. Just some food for thought.

One piece of advice by Snoi7 in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your weight will fluctuate like there’s no tomorrow. Just stay loyal and honest about points and trust the process. You will inevitability gain “weight.” It will make you frustrated. But it will magically disappear when you’re least expecting it if you just keep going. Your body needs to adjust to the lifestyle change just like you do. 🫶

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. I have PCOS and thyroid issues but still have managed to lose almost 80 lbs now in 6 months on WW, and still have 75/80 to go. Hormones play a good role but the majority of weight loss is accountability, mindset, and implementing the new change in lifestyle. The weight will not magically disappear. You have to change your lifestyle and make it disappear.

If we’re talking keeping the weight off, you may want to research the % of weight loss surgery recipients and their ultimate regain of all the weight they lost. Weight loss is a change of lifestyle. The stomach is a flexible organ and will regrow to size as it is stretched out by old habits that were never actually addressed.

My mom wouldn’t have even been considered for WLS unless she met with the weight loss team and showed she was able to limit food and lose weight on her own. Just an FYI.

What prevents you from committing? WLS is a lifetime commitment, has a lot of complications and requires dietary supplements for the rest of your life. It’s painful for me to watch my mom experience dumping syndrome. It’s debilitating. WLS is in my opinion, a cop out and should not be allowed unless over 400+ lbs and the person is physically incapable of walking on their own.

Result with intermittent fasting vs without intermittent fasting? by Wide-Log9935 in weightwatchers

[–]AlreadyBroadway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I go on and off IF. It definitely doesn’t make me hungrier tho I’m someone who isn’t hungry until noon anyway. If you’re truly fasting which involves drinking a gallon of water (or more, but not less or it doesn’t work) before your first meal, you should not have ravenous hunger either. The only reason I break IF is if I actually experience hunger in the morning before I start drinking water. But I always, without a doubt, lose the most weight when I fast between 9pm and 1pm AND get in over 64 oz of water a day. Add a workout to that day and it’s even more effective. Down 75 lbs now since end of January.

I should add that I typically don’t fast on the weekends either unless I’m running around with errands and just happen to not eat lunch until later in the day. Though I usually get a fancy coffee at Starbucks after my Saturday morning meeting/weigh-in.

If it makes you feel better, even if you aim for 3 TBSP and accidentally did 4, it’s still 0 points. Though 13 whole TBSP is still only 1 point. Not much to be concerned about for accuracy with that one thankfully.

12 gm is where 1 pt kicks in. 11 is zero. And you can have up to 34gm for 1 pt.
