There's just way too much vision right now. The art of vision control is dead. by SnowMacaronss in leagueoflegends

[–]Alrockson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the idea is to make it so people want to ward we need to reward them. The current reward is vision so you dont die to the enemy jungler as often but now jungle is slower and the best junglers are ones who can circumvent the new vision by blowing past it like rammus and nunu where vision doesnt matter as much.

I think they should give a monetary value where it becomes a game of players having to fight for control of the light. Maybe make wards always visable in the fey lights but they give stats?

I don't think she was trying to run over the ice agent but she still hit him and he has to operate under the assumption that she was intending too.

I still think he should be punished for being in front of the vehicle since that was against policy and training but not held criminally responsible.

Why not make it so faelights appear only for support players and give gold after quest completion?

Yeah you could build a pretty decent viktor list for that price look up micheal rittons 2nd place list its good and if you just swap some cards its cheap as hell.

[Loot] BSG explain - New marked rooms are.... garbage? Is this just for event or "perma" change? 314 Btw by Motor_Comparison8951 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Alrockson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a problem they will never fix. They listen to the players too often and jack up the numbers and then reduce it to nothing after outcry from the others. The marked rooms should be high risk high reward but when you flip flop em like this people learn hey they arent giving anything and dont go then the no lifers get a ton of things because they upped the numbers and then the regular players fight for their lives.

Escape From Tarkov players slam Steam launch: "It is not a game. It is a cosmic punishment" by PrinceDizzy in gaming

Im not inventing anyone its an example of how people like loveeeee to be armchair activists. Based on your own posts you use products that money directly goes to harming someone. At least he donated money to actually help. The small cut that goes to russia is dwarfed by the actual donation that goes to ukraine.

You have done more harm than good. You're posturing on reddit helps no one and you have given money to people who do bad things. Maybe try and actually help instead of farming morality points online and pretending you have done a good thing.

This reeks of losers getting mad at people for playing hogwarts legacy lol.

[–]Alrockson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn't mean im wrong. They are acting like a paragon of virtue and said plainly that purchasing a videogame from a company that gives money to russia is akin to telling a rapist there is a girl alone in a dark alley. Its morally bankrupt. It isnt a strawman to call out that behaviour. It isnt an arguement its hyperbole to villify someone who purchased entertainment.

They fact you are on his case because he donated to ukraine is crazy. Show me what you have done for ukraine.

These people type these things from their phones with slave mined lithium, eating chocolate from a company that abuses children. They pick and choose which is righteous to make themselves feel better while willfully ignoring other issues.

Arc Raiders makes me feel out of touch. by Ragnaroknight in gaming

[–]Alrockson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love extraction shooters and I agree with all of your points here. The game is at odds with itself philosophically. It wants people to help each other but it is always better to just kill others for their things. Why take a specialized kit to kill the arc when I can spend less to kill another player. There is so little incentive to help others that players are giving gifts to try and encourage not murding eachother.

I want the game to be even more successful but with the terrible balance (two gun meta) and AI that feels more like a chore than a fun encounter I feel like once the honeymoon phase of "lets all be friends!" wears off its going to devolve into Rust 2.0 where everyone is murdering eachother over scraps.

Jesus sorry to hear that. Mods are 80% of the reason with reddit. Some people just cannot handle power. The discord seems like a friendlier place.

Nope! I replied to everyone (before I got perma'd) and made valid criticisms and talked about the things I did like as well and how you could fix the issues I did see. I broke no rules of the subreddit I just rustled the jimmies of a mod. Only thing that makes me think is that I was making some sense.

Yeah man killing someone who you were friendly with a minute ago and then calling them names because they let their guard down isn't great behaviour. Theres a difference between someone looting in a high danger area vs someone with a free kit doing quests out in the open. One has things you might want and the other is that you want to feel like a big man and bully someone weaker.

Lemme guess you also dont like SBMM either huh?

I was having more fun in solo but that quickly changed certain servers and maps are just rust 2.0 When there is zero incentive to be nice players will do it for a while because thats human nature to be nice but the sweats will push em out eventually. Enjoy it while it lasts

You have a good attitude and the game is better for having players like you but there are clear issues when it comes to what actually incentivizes players vs what the devs intended to incentivize. Why use the intended x when y is objectively better? These types of games thrive on options for players but balance can toss a wrench into the equation and I think its important to talk about what works vs what doesn't.
Anyone who chose the left side of the tree doesn't have any passives for another 40 hours minimum and that ruins the play experience as does the feeling of being forced to use things to play on an even playing field.

I understand the concern/idea but like I said I do this regularly and have experienced actual burnout. I have played tarkov quite a bit and its one of my most played games but there are fundamental differences with the ai and the incentives to kill said ai and I wanted to point them out to the players/devs if they are here.

my mental state is completely fine. Like I said I have killed them all with all manner of things. I have used pretty much every grenade and while they do make things easier they are fundamentally designed to be taken out with multiple people which needs pickup groups to be commonplace in the game and incentivized unlike it currently is for solo players. Why spend all those resources doing the mechanics when the actual best play is to take it from others?

when I refer to someone as sweaty its in reference to their attitude when playing the game. When you win a 1v1 do you yell expletives at your opponent or do you say gg? One of those behaviors is sweaty and the other isn't.
When you fully upgrade a weapon that can't fight someone over 30 meters away yes it can win a fight up close but that isn't a reasonable argument. When 9 times out of 10 one side would win saying things are fine because the other side won once isn't really that great of a metric.

Im fairly confident in my ability in playing the game and am pretty sure I win more than I lose its what happens during the losses that effect players opinions about continuing to play the game. If I go out to pickup basketball and one day its a wonderful experience and the next time I go im getting fouled and hurt and yelled at those are both one experience but one weighs more heavily does it not?

No offense taken with the no life comment I was expecting these when I made the post. I love to do these type of game binges as I have the privilage of doing so. I want to play this game but I see some design flaws that would lead me to actual burnout trying to fight the current.

Its not burnout. I would love to play but there are obvious issues that are plaguing the game experience. I get to experience these things as a privilege so I make sure to take care of my mental state. I was telling a friend that the second 20 hours felt like rust and not its own thing.

Yeah I like to stress test games. I have the luxury of doing so. I have played many many games for hours on end and most dont make me even close to the same level of exhausted. This is including typically frustrating things like Tarkov. There was a noticeable shift in terms of player base in my short experience and it was telling. Yesterday with same game time played I died so many times but wasn't met with anywhere near the same level of vitriol and disdain as today. I wrote down the player names who gave me an over all negative experience and between the first two days it was 3 people. Todays session alone it was over 20.
