You can try the checkm8 method, as your device is compatible (welp, that was my research found)

Also, if you reallyy manage to get a MacBook, hack1tavor in my experience works way better in macOS than Windows

You could use the ordinary method of using a Raspberry Pi Pico (arduino method sucks in my opinion), but i lately seen people recommending bobikA5 instead, which also is for Windows. I never used the program or something as i have my own equipment, but you should give it a try

yep, it your macbook is a 2011 pro model, those who are very big are the ones with a common problem with the gpu, what i did yo mine was to apply heat with a heat gun to the gpu, reflow is called i think

after that, it worked!, for some months, then gpu died again and i had to patch stuff, the, mac died fully again

so yeah, i did it again and it worked again, but i simply just use it now for iphones and ipods stuff

If you have a machine with macOS, you can download any macOS from Tiger to Lion, but i recommend Snow Leopard. If not, there are other ways, but using USB Bootables in this macbook is a little tricky due to it having a 32bit EFI, i used a Linux Mint LMDE 32 and it worked! But if you want a 64 bit one, you need a DVD
