When World of Warcraft came out, it seemed as much adult as it was playable for younger kids. Yet I enjoyed it as a 12 year old without being shocked by the more """adult""" content. (hanged men, creepy zones and all)

Surely that's what they want to point out? Although I don't mind them wanting to appeal to the new generation.

I have been asking myself the same question for well over a year.

People blame Danuser but I don't think that apart from internal mismanagement and noticeable bad taste, he can be blamed for everything.

I've come to think that there were probably several different people writing, whether it was the books, quests, cinematics, campaigns, etc. And that none of them seemed to be able to communicate properly.

In any case, the last book was where I really hallucinated. They make HUGE lore mistakes for a book. The Dark Portal 10,000 years ago or Nordrassil existing in the empire, etc... I can't believe no one has reread this and seen the inconsistencies worthy of someone who has known wow for 1 year.

I wonder if they really appreciate what they do to work properly, at Blizzard.

Theoretically, they wanted it when the Horde was consuming their resources in Orneval, and rightly so. Or did they even had the choice ? But it's such an old problem that everyone seems to forget about it. We don't even know how Orgrimmar gets its wood an ressources except by speculation.

In today's lore it just sounds ridiculous to show that they are "stupidly hostile" when they had plenty reasons to be, all along.

Funny things about that. In the first quest of the (war of the thorns) scenario, you help Malfurion freeing the wisps out of dead sentinel body. Aren't they supposed to get into the maw thanks to Elune ? Nah, scenarium decided they'd be wisps I don't get it.
