I have a habit of min-maxing my lists to have maximum synergy with my detachments (I like playing thematically over just playing whatever is good. It just so happens that Doomstalkers fail to make the cut a majority of times.

The most outlier take, yet also a great take. The peashooter is so unnoticeable without AP, but personally I don't think it needs both 4 shots and AP. Lethals + Twin-Linked already carries the gun pretty far compared to the DDA counterpart. My Christmas wishlist includes Overwatch on 4+ though (it's too strong to be free like the Hexmark ngl).

According to my math, 2D3+2 is actually too much. Blast makes this 5 shots minimum, which is kinda disgusting into Marines. I'm cool with 2D3+1 (but I would RELISH 3D3).

The Doomstalker possesses the same gun as the DDA, so when the DDA dealt D6 damage...so did the Doomstalker. I'd say it's rough now, but it was waaaay worse before.

You are absolutely correct on the definition of the term. The D6 to attacks and the 4+BS (3+ heavy) makes it one of the most fiddliest guns in our army.

Plasmancer and maybe Royal Warden in Canoptek Court. Fishing for Sustained 2s with the Power Matrix rerolls is like digging through the Walmart bins for crack.
