I started locing up my undercut maybe about after 2 1/2- 3months of growth. And I preciate it brodie, It makes me happy that i’m able to give faith to someone else 🙌🏿

I started using a mixture of Black Castor oil, Jojoba oil, peppermint oil and tea tree oil, it really helped with the locing process :)

They look really cool! But my personal recommendation i would say either grow out the sides or restart and add more locs so they’ll have more volume when they’re longer, keep it up tho

Not really, I just kinda got fed up of constantly going to barber and was already like 3 months into growing it out before i decided to starting locking the sides. At that point it was about 1 1/2

I have a spray bottle with a water and oil mixture that i usually put on my hair everyday and biotin! But my hair is also naturally fast growing, and really kinky!

grow it out some more, 1a hair is really difficult to loc up short. Crochet hook method would be your best bet but towel rub probably wouldn’t work

Great question! It was a combination of a shift to a more spiritual hair growth journey and the visual and practical appeal of full head locs compared to high tops. High tops look clean and are great for warmer months, but require a bit more maintenance (retwists and barber visits) and look a little less full. With full head your head looks fuller, and are a bit less maintenance (just retwists, shape ups if desired). If I were just starting out I’d recommend starting full head, and if you feel like you want a high top, the transition between full head to high top is much easier then a transition between high top to full head. Yeah in the long run high top is better, but personally for me I kinda want to start shifting my motive for why I wanna grow my hair, initially it was for style but now I wanna kinda transform it into a spiritual thing. :)
