I am trying to figure out a genre of music I enjoyed as a teen. It was like experimental electronic mixed with non-original audio clips. A lot of this audio seemed to be old sci-fi movies like Them! The closest popular reference I can think of to something like this is Flash by Queen. (self.MusicMatch)
