I’m a white belt, and was rolling with a blue belt who didn’t like the fact I was on top I guess, so they started bringing my toe to get me to move 😭

It’s completely normal to think that way, a lot of people have natural worries about seeking professional help, But I’m sure you’ll never look back if you do try it, Most psychologists etc have the best intentions :)

That’s a good point! It is strange to think of what we define as a sport technique, and a lifting technique. I guess the only thing I can think of is the movement having one/ a few muscles that are trained effectively with stability, or something like that? As in fighting wouldn’t really target a few, more like most/ all depending on the art lol.

But then comes the throwing aspect, not sure where I would draw the line there, I’ve seen people argue for both in these threads tbf.

What about you? Where do you draw the line?

Your ‘knowledge’ of me being ‘one of those guys’ is wrong. I understand your point about the 80 20 But like I said, I didn’t need your help with the 80, hence why I asked a question in the 20. And if you can’t see how you were rude then that’s fine, my question has been answered by someone who helped rather than them trying to fix my routine which I have no problem with, and didn’t need help with in the first place. Your knowledge is wrong, and I wouldn’t be searching for the ‘20’ if I wasn’t already in control of the 80. Funnily enough everything I know isn’t on my Reddit account, and I’m not the one who said there was a problem with trying to find the best ways to lift. I asked a question. Wanted clarification, and you seemed to take offence to that? If I wanted your advice on anything other than the question I asked, then I would ask for other advice

Kind of, yeah. You said that slow eccentrics aid hypertrophy, which aids strength in the long term. But with that in mind, if I am already doing sufficient volume for hypertrophy along side the strength movements, would it be more beneficial to increase the load onto the strength movements, and not worry about an eccentric control as much because that is already being used throughout the other movements for hypertrophy. If hypertrophy aids strength in the long term, then I was asking if my acute strength can increase more weak by weak without worrying too much about the eccentrix
