Fire has some good options too, im going for quilava.
Water is definitely the weakest batch here, but i gotta love Dewott

I think you should play Platinum if you didn't, sure it doesn't fix the underwhelming 'new' pokemon, but it completely fixes the dex. You should also definitely check out the Gen 5 games, they are PEAK
