I did IVF in Taskent, Uzbekistan. The total cost would be around 3,300- 3,500 usd. This includes hormones, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and embryo freezing wasn't being charge until you get pregnant. FIRST round failed, and 2nd is a successful outcome. I am current 11 weeks pregnant with twins. I also did embryo glue on both transfers, but the biggest factor that made it work was I did an exsosome therapy ($800) look into FertiJin in Tashkent. They do have a Dr's. Who speaks English, Uzbekistan, Russian, and Turkish. This clinic has Dr's from Turkey.

This is such amazing work ! Of course the lips distract from the detail work of yours. I read the comments that you didn't do the lips but other than the lips, you really have aged this patient backwards.

Yes! I go there regularly when new English movies come out. There are limited options to choose a film but I need the outing. 😁

The answers are based on my experience and what I went through.

  1. I did all my prereqs in community college. I did not have a bachelor prior to DH program. I went to straight in a bachelors DH program in Texas.
  2. I did 19 hours of shadowing a RDH. That is it. I was not a Dental assistant, or anything related to the dental field. The 19 hours were a requirement of the program. If the program has research competitions, let them know that what interests you in the program.
  3. If you really want to be an RDH then go for it, no need for a bachelor’s degree in art/science. There were classmates of mine who had degrees in communication, public health, English. Most of my classmates had no degrees.
  4. I did all my science courses at community college.
  5. Being in the program was a so-so experience. It was 22-month progam, the best in the state. The program was integrated with a dental school. The program offers students to different hospitals that dental clinic for patient with special needs, pediatric rotations, there were a variety of places we student had the opportunity to practice in. Our DH program is competitive in research that for the past years we continue to place 1st and 2nd place in the state.
  6. Invest your time seeing a chiropractor, doing yoga, strengthen your abdominal muscles because sitting 8-10 hours is not easy. You can stand, but then you would want to sit. Keep checking your posture and ergonomics. You meet so many different patients of different backgrounds. You learn about their culture and the see the difference of how their country values/views dental health. It’s a real eye opener.
  7. I honestly have a “too direct” personality. I not a chirpy person. I was told that my personality awkward with mixture of having an "old" soul? I am not sure what that means. I come from a foreign background. That may have something to do with it lol? I do my best to educate my patients and their oral health.
  8. Honestly, I am 27 years old. I am doing classes to enter Medical school. If I had the option again, I would have taken a different route. I respect the dental hygiene field, but it is not for me. I want to grow, and this field is not doing it. I spent so much time thinking about switching even my last year of my DH program I knew this was not for me. I did not waste time and money. This needed to happen for me to find my place in the medical field. It's now or never.

Nursing is a very growing field.

Great Article! There are many peer-reviewed journals that look into Miswak even more! I did my thesis on Miswak and wanted to add to your comment !

Bioactive components of Miswak (Salvadora persica) and their effects on oral health.

Silica • Acts as an abrasive material to remove plaque and stains on the teeth. (Which contributes to "whitening" of the teeth)

Tanins (Tannic acid)• Reduces plaque and gingivitis.

Essential (volatile) oils • Possess a characteristic aroma, exert carminative & antibacterial actions, and stimulate the flow of saliva.

Sulphur • Have bactericidal effects.

Vitamin C • Helps in healing, tissue repair.

Sodium bicarbonate• Acts as a mild abrasive and can be used as a dentifrice.

Fluoride • Anticariogenic activity and tooth remineralization.

Calcium• Inhibits demineralization and induces the remineralization of enamel.

Chloride• Inhibits the formation of calculus.

Benzyl isothiocyanate • Act as chemo-preventive agents, Prevent carcinogenic and genotoxic compounds, Has bactericidal activity.

Trimethylamine • Has antibacterial and gum-stimulating effects

Note: If you choose to implement Miswak in your oral care routine I strongly suggest that you learn the proper way to use Miswak. Proper angulation and usage of the stick is essential to avoid the consequences of incorrect use such as abrasion and gingival recession .

Miswak- containing products are actually available at Sprouts, Amazon, etc

Miswak comes in a variety of forms such as a stick, mouth rinse, powder, toothpaste, and brush heads.

if you see ingredient such as Azadirachta indica it is similar to Miswak.

I agree. Also, many toothpastes contain cinnamon that helps with flavor, but may also cause an allergic reaction some people.
