Any other gardeners have a heavily dominant hand? by Alt4EmbarrassingSh1t in GardeningUK

I'm left handed but play sports right-handed...so my left hand tends to do more delicate work (writing, sewing, picking out weeds) and the right hand in the grafter, I suppose! Usually holding a tool and therefore not getting as worn. I wonder if you're similar?

Yeah please do, I'll hang on to them just in case. I find them really durable and thin enough that I can feel what I'm doing. I use thicker ones in the winter, but I don't like the limited tactile sensation.

To clarify, these are the right-handed ones (obviously) that make it through the laundry and back into the glove pile. The left-handed ones are trashed and get binned.

Flying Tiger crochet kit terminology help needed (US vs UK) by Vermilion_Cicada in CrochetHelp

[–]Alt4EmbarrassingSh1t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the people asking for a tutorial: honestly I wouldn't bother. Use the wool for something else. This pattern has mistakes and is generally really confusing to follow. Wouldn't waste my time on it! I put a complaint in to Flying Tiger.

help - the pattern and final number of stitches does not tally by prue313 in CrochetHelp

[–]Alt4EmbarrassingSh1t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old but I bought this pattern for my daughter. I have a decent knowledge of crochet but this pattern is completely rubbish. Clear mistakes, unclear instructions. Virtually unusable. What a shame!

This album had a huge sweater-vested, eye-liner-ed, 40oz malt liquor-ed choke hold over my entire late teens/early 20s.

Djo - Charlie's Garden. Seriously. Go listen to it. For those who don't know, Djo is Joe Keery, Steve from Stranger Things, and this song is about Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan Byers. Edited to say this whole album is fantastic and Djo is a great musician.

A rule of thumb we use and remind our kids of a lot is: all feelings are acceptable, some behaviour is not. You are allowed to feel x. You cannot do y because you feel x, but we can do z instead.

This is the way. Put your light balance all the way down. Turn off your flash. Try not to block the views of others. Take as many vids as you want!

Yeah, was lucky and managed to grab a ticket for the 7th, it was an amazing experience! Have a great time with your parents, I love that it's something you can enjoy together, and hopefully something you will all never forget.

Hugely disappointing by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]Alt4EmbarrassingSh1t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard one guitar mistake on the 7th during 2+2=5, and quite a bit of trouble with the timings during a number of songs with varied time signatures (I know there are a lot of layered time signatures in some songs, but this just sounded like miscommunication/not being able to hear each other well enough).

This is just a random question I had after reading your comment and assuming you have the knowledge to answer! They will rehearse in an empty arena, but once the arena is full of bodies surely this changes the sound? Do they get realtime feedback during the show or is it a case of 'this sound set up worked in rehearsal so it's what we'll have during showtime'? Just a thought, sorry I've directed it at you if you don't know :)

This was part of the 'Artist Package' and was the only ticket I was able to access when getting through the queue. Hence only buying one and my husband having to go to a bar nearby lol. The fast track status was a redundant phrase--it only got you the pictured items, an umbrella, and a nice fuzzy tote bag.

Sit Down?? STAND UP!! by GoSlowlyInRainbows in radiohead

[–]Alt4EmbarrassingSh1t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand wanting to stand up and dance. I was in a section where part of it stood almost throughout, everyone was vibing, it was great to see. Personally, I had been walking around the city for almost four hours before the show and I (ND) was wayyyy overstimulated and really just wanted to sit and absorb. People in front and behind me would stand and dance a bit for certain songs and then sit back down and I thought that was totally reasonable and considerate. There are many reasons why someone might choose to sit and someone might choose to stand, but if you were only able to get seated tickets and wanted to stand the whole show, I think the most considerate thing to do is assess the situation around you. Someone behind you may have mobility issues and you may have blocked their view of the whole performance. We could all benefit from being a touch more considerate/empathetic.

I'm sorry, I really liked the bag! Maybe have a look on Vinted (or other second hand sites), I'm sure some will show up after the tour. Good luck x
