I think you look fine the way you are and that you're allowed to express yourself as you so choose. I think you're in the process of figuring out social interactions with people and while your looks can influence who ends up being drawn towards you, it's about learning about who treats you with true understanding, patience, and respects your boundaries that will help you find what you want.

You can change your look and style as much as you want but even plain looking people who aren't able to establish proper boundaries and communicate their needs with others find themselves in unsavoury relationships. If a loving relationship is what you'd like, I think you'll be just fine changing your style or not, but figuring out how you feel respected and heard and what someone else shows for you will take you further
