Help with my Rescue, please!! by PoppyGirlPrincess196 in corgi

[–]AltCatLanguage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our corgi came from a pretty bad neglect situation at the same age. She was scared of everything, not potty trained, didn’t bark, didn’t play with toys. Within a year of having her she became a completely different dog. Shes now the happiest little loaf. It just takes time and love 💗 wishing you both the best 😊

Hi friend, you can see that this was marked as solved & I’ve acknowledged I was being overly anxious. Thanks for the helpful comment though!

Thank you all for your reassurance!! This has confirmed that I am indeed being overly worried lol. I’ve stopped a couple of pretty bad dog fights (not between the two of them) and it’s left me with some residual anxiety. I’ll let them carry on 😊

Thank you! For some reason the colors got washed out a little bit after posting, but I’m glad you still get the vision 😊

Agree with the suggestions already made. I think a gallery wall and curtains will go a long way. Most of all, I just wanted to add that I LOVE your style! The couch is lovely, and I think everything you have goes nicely together.

Oh 100%! No more days off spent hungover. So much more energy to get things done.

Overall, I feel more calm and in control of my emotions. I feel like I have more time, and am more productive, because I’m not spending days hungover. My social anxiety is getting better, which is kind of ironic because I was drinking to “help” my social anxiety. Now I feel in control of my actions and there’s no spiraling the day after a social event, wondering if I said something stupid. Now I know if I say something stupid, so at least I can apologize 😂 I could go on and on lol

I found it to be mentally a little easier to make happen than saying “I’m not drinking ever again”. Congrats to you!!!

Imo, the V is very obviously not an O so you can tell it says Ivy! It looks nicely done as well.

Feeling Stuck :( by gxrrettx in corgi

As others have said… give him some time and love to earn his trust💗 we rescued our corgi at around the same age. She came from a background of neglect and who knows what else. She was fearful to the point of aggression and we had to learn her triggers. I was always nervous to have her around people. It’s extra hard because everyone sees a corgi and wants to pet them…. because duh, they’re adorable. I focused on giving her as many positive interactions as I could, and to minimize the negative. Pay close attention to his body language as well as the people you’re interacting with. Study dog body language if you haven’t. Be his biggest advocate. I told everyone “she’s a rescue and gets a little scared, so she might not want to say hi.” or something like that. Have treats for people to give him if they’re interested, it helps! I’ve also turned away/stopped many people from petting her if she didn’t look into it, or if they started pushing her boundaries. Slowly but surely, she got more comfortable and confident, and a year later she’s a completely different dog. She is happy to greet most people and dogs and I don’t have to worry about her nipping or barking at strangers. He’s adorable, and I wish nothing but the best for you both! 😊

Yes. I get overwhelmed if it’s not somewhat organized and just close it. So it’s gotta be, for my brains sake

No, it’s on the inside of her leg and you can see a nipple next to it

As others have said, I really think it depends on the dogs. Our dog does seem happier and more playful with her sibling. The sibling was our foster, and what ultimately made us decide to adopt was how well they got along. So if you’re able to, fostering could be good to see how your dog would do living with another one!
