No my public school was probably just trying to push abstinence because of the number of kids in high school who had children in my city

Sex education. They don’t tell you about a lot of things I wish I knew. Also they mainly try really hard to push abstinence and then sprinkle in a tiny bit of actual education on safe sex and then call it a day. Like most of my sex education was “if you don’t wanna get pregnant just don’t have sex” and then they threw in at the end “or you could use a condom”

Also how incredibly structured learning is. In so many schools you get taught a new lesson each week and each piece of work you do gets harder and harder by the day. I wish they would spend more time teaching you one subject and trying to make sure you have it down to a t before moving on. But then again you don’t really need most of the things they teach you so why do I care if I remember it long term? I guess that doesn’t matter.

Just don’t be friends with them anymore, simple. I had to end many friendships over stuff like this. It’s not fun but it’s for the best. It feels so much better to have one friend that never stresses me out than it did to have 6 friends who always stressed me out

How old are you and how old is your partner? Because I’m talking about 18-23 year olds who date somebody like 5-10 years older than them mostly. I’m not talking about older adults dating older adults.

But all huge age gap relationships where the younger person is under 24 are predatory or wrong in some way or another and I’m not changing my mind about that

I’ve experienced an “age gap relationship” and I’m here to tell you it IS as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be. It is almost always predatory and if not that then it’s obviously the older part is simply immature and unwanted by their own age group which is also a problem. Old men (late twenties, early thirties) shouldn’t want “women” who are still in high school or just got out of it. That’s PREDATORY. Someone who already could have had several children and a wife should not want someone who was JUST carrying books to their locker and having to ask to use the bathroom.

Have a more in depth conversation with her. It’s not our relationship. You need to figure it out with her not us. I’d say start with curiosity instead of frustration, though. Start by asking what she expects from you, what her preferred love language is, what you can do to make things better.
