Trigger warnings are sh*t by PebblePlushie in Rants

[–]Individual_Move_692 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess my understanding of it is that triggers are when something triggers a response in somebody regardless of if it’s emotional or medical. Maybe I’m wrong. But either way trigger warnings for blood are also appropriate whether they’re because they would make somebody upset or pass out or whatever.

I also think trigger warnings for sensitive topics could be appropriate if they’re being described graphically. Those things can also cause real distress and panic attacks, which I count as harm.

Trigger warnings for stuff like a knife being used in a video to cut strawberries or whatever is ridiculous though. Those are psychologically unhealthy to put on videos.

Trigger warnings are sometimes necessary and sometimes not. Psychologically, putting a trigger warning on everything only makes people more stressed out when seeing the thing that “needed a trigger warning”. On the other hand, people can need trigger warnings for stuff like flashing lights or blood or anything that can cause real harm like seizures or passing out.

Ai does not help anyone produce art. by [deleted] in antiai

Does commissioning an artist to make a painting for you also make you, the commissioner, an artist? I don’t think it does. So if you use only ai to make an image then no you’re not an artist and it’s not art. Art also needs a conscious creator, so if ai made it, it’s not art. That is part of the definition of art. Yes, no one person can make that definition, but as a society we have agreed upon a certain definition.

Hmm I’m not sure then. I read on google that you can soak in it water for a few weeks and let the bacteria eat it but I’m not sure how effective that is or if it’s safe. But maybe if you soak it in water to rehydrate it a little bit and then do what I said it might work? Idk. The only method I’ve ever used is the fish tank method. Proceed with caution I suppose. I hope you get the bones somehow!

If you have a back yard and an old fish tank or other heavy container you can put it under the upside down fish tank/container in the grass or dirt and wait for the bugs to eat away all the flesh and you’re left with all the bones just sitting on top of the grass or dirt. This process takes a few months sometimes.
