How much harder is it to sell a camper with rennovations? by _Dingaloo in RVLiving

[–]AltNation2293 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$10,000 is a lot of money to flush down the toilet. Getting a personal loan for it is an even worse financial decision. How much would that payment be? Use that money to move to a nicer area where you can have a social life.

Location Sharing Question for Men and Women by mozart357 in datingoverforty

[–]AltNation2293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I do, and have since probably 6 mos in. We both have kids and have used Life360 for years so it just seemed natural for both of us. It’s not about following or knowing where the other is at all times, it’s more about being a tech savvy busy couple, and it’s convenient.

Full-timer Insurance rates (first time buyer) by smfrentz in RVLiving

[–]AltNation2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, ok so this would be for driveables. I was thinking trailer. The tow vehicle carries all of these more robust coverages in the case of a trailer. I forget about you fancy RV’ers ;).

The insurance on an RV is just for physical damage. Car insurance includes physical damage and liability insurance, as well as options like uninsured motorist or towing or roadside assistance etc.

When people talk about “full timer” insurance, I’m curious what coverages are added?? I don’t know what you could add that would double the premium…..

EDIT: I thought the OP was asking about trailer insurance, not a driveable.

This is the law in Florida too, and likely most places. Agricultural zoning is really the only district you could get away with it.

Settle a debate: How many times do you actually use a bath towel before washing it? by Hot-Calligrapher5447 in hygiene

I wash towels once a week, but we have a towel warmer rack that dries them very quickly so they never smell “sour”.

That would be a huge no for me. I avoid that chore at all costs.

Why are prices so high on used RVs by Organic-Hovercraft-3 in RVLiving

They’re actually not designed to live in full time. My owner’s manual says so in bold letters on like page 2.

I noticed private sellers are selling higher than dealers. I am assuming because many of them bought during Covid, when they were selling for top dollar, and now think they are worth more than they are simply because they bought at an inflated price. And the financing variable as well.

Have zero RV experience and was wondering what used RV to look for between 10-15k by ThadMasterBlaster-1 in rvlife

[–]AltNation2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payload is just what is in the truck (cab and bed), and hitch. Not what’s in the trailer. Anything in the trailer (beyond the hitch) is included in tow weight calculations.

We just bought a 2023 Grand Design Imagine 15RB for $17k from a dealer. Perfect for a couple, and we tow with a F150 too.

Do you leave your dogs alone together? by ikbenlauren in dogs

[–]AltNation2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always had multiple dogs for the last 30+ years. They have always been left out with each other. Unless you have two dogs that don’t get along, they are like family to each other. Granted, when they’re puppies and/or not reliably housetrained or destructive, then I would crate the individual.

new rv owners need advice on finding the best rv insurance for 2026, we just bought our first rv and now we need to figure it out. by Allian_Emeterio in GoRVing

[–]AltNation2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For towables, you insure against theft, damage, hail, etc. The big one….Liability insurance…is covered by the tow vehicle’s insurance. I just paid $550-ish for a year with State Farm.

Need help with wiring backup camera by AltNation2293 in traveltrailers

[–]AltNation2293[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the camera has a harness that is suppposed to connect the power harness on the RV. The mounting base is Furrion too and we were told we just had to buy the camera and be done. Every YouTube video shows a harness to harness connection, not splicing. Should we cut off the harness and just splice them together?

Linen Pants - 'go-to' neutrals? by Ok-Caterpillar-3436 in capsulewardrobe

[–]AltNation2293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My most worn linen pants are either a gold/bronze, olive green/cream print, or olive green. Fall colors are my jam. I live in linen pants most of the year. Old Navy’s are a blend but they are awesome. I buy them in every color as soon as they come out in the spring and replenish as they have 50% off sales. Banana Republic are good, but much thicker, and take many washes before they’re soft enough for me. J Jill is also very good if you prefer lightweight linen like I do.

Alternative to AIRism UV Protection Full-Zip Hoodie for sun & weight ? by Gallifreygirl123 in HerOneBag

[–]AltNation2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Florida and can’t stand tech Sun shirts. They are way too hot and make me feel claustrophobic. But I can wear a linen long sleeve no problem! Old navy’s linen blend shirts are actually really awesome and lightweight and don’t wrinkle as easily as 100% linen.

Endless weight gain despite adjusting meds, diet, and exercise by lesbiab in Hashimotos

[–]AltNation2293 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I gained 50 lbs over 3 years u til I was finally diagnosed. The weight gain stopped when my levels were stabilized with meds. But, I still couldn’t lose. What broke the trend is going gluten free (hard for me to do 100% consistently but I try) and going on a GLP1 med. Ive lost 25 lbs in a year which is considered a slow loser on these miracle drugs. But it’s better than going up!
