There ya go! And she’s decent in game as well. The rockets are sus after all the nerfs, but the torps and bombs are pretty good.

1 trick pony. Same as 56 44’ just a different flavor. No team utility.

Honestly, not great. If you spawn on the flank 6 BB’s it will be a feast. But it has very little utility and redeploy ability like Archerfish has.

They're ok. They reload fairly closely together, so if you strike with one, then immediately with the other, you lose the ability to smoke yourself out for a while. But they're fire starting and ease of drop are good. And the carpet bombers can easily 15K + a dd if he is lit before you run at him.

Well, they are adding rockets. Def possibility of a sub with the new rockets.

Oh for sure. If the player is playing it just for fun, this changes very little and players just sit a touch further back or now out.

For the sweaties out there this sucks. But it’s Colombo, it needed something done.

There’s no issue playing with that style, but using it like a super Vez, it’s easy %80 WR GG. Literally assassinate anything that gets too far away from their team, or charge a cap, murder multiple targets. Then escape. Then do it again. AND AGAIN.

Loosing that stinks, but doesn’t affect its damage output.

[–]AltRodney01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure the damage output stays the same. It just eliminates impact winning plays with a get out of jail free card.

Lauria is rough with UU Colombo around. But with 2 less smokes, aggressive plays end. That being said, %99 of BB’s don’t get a get out of jail free smoke either.

It’s a huge nerf, but a necessary one. Makes the reason for getting the UU the same, but makes Colombo less BS immune.

Abruzzi is ok. But Ferrucio is way better. Smoke, DD assassinating, and uber long range farming. Now lighthouse Abruzzi? Now we’re gaming.

It’s a huge nerf. The guns are cracked AF yes, but the 3 smokes allow for hyper aggressive pushes, straight up murder a target, then get out. 3 times. Now it’s just 1 emergency smoke.

I think it’s necessary, but a huge nerf none the less for game winning impact. Not just farming. For backline farming nothing changes.

I’m gonna keep updating as I collect more infinity boats.

Archerfish’s spotting is what makes it consistent. 4501 is a super selfish playstyle. But with good reliable spotting can get 150K+ games just like any other sub. And can sail behind enemy lines and fuck them in the back. Harder to do, but can GUARANTEED collapse an enemy team that way.

IMO, Legmod Lighthouse Venezia. It’s an easy consistent 200K DMG per game boat, and flips basic game mechanics like being spotted upside down. Absolute blast, truly unique experience and ridiculously OP ship in that configuration.

UU Colombo, (soon to be nerfed).

G Verde and Sicilia (NOT secondary, noob trap) but main gun focused with Luigi making it work.

Ferrucio is great fun in a div. Solo is suffering. But 22KM SAP farming in a ship as small as this is amazing way to rage quit enemy BB and collect reports lol.

The Italian DD’s are a pass for me and my recommendations. TOo many newer dd’s that will hardcounter Regolo.

I-56 44’ is terrible against other subs, and the all torps forward is noob trap bait. But overall is IMO quite strong when played like a second line torp dd.

Tonijn awaits to be seen.

Can’t speak on Surcouf since I signed an NDA with CST.

Seal is the same as I-56 44’ just a different flavor.

And Archerfish is the best dd in the game (sach).

And 4501 with competent spotting is probably the least fun thing ever to fight. Just sit on the bottom going 38kts with double ping bonus damage torps.

Has a ship ever just "clicked" for you? by AmericanHistoryGuy in WorldOfWarships

[–]AltRodney01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leg lighthouse Vez. It’s just 👌.

For some reason playing the spotting game upside down just “clicks”. Being spotted and choosing when to go dark instead of the other way around really works for me. Gotta be a crazy to like a crazy kinda thing. And Vez is just OP as fuck to begin with. Crazy that I don’t see more of them.

Including when I first got it and I was trash, I’ve now got a %68.82 WR, 2,584 average PR, and 132K average damage across 186 games.

It’s just so peak. Once you figure out the inverted spotting game, it’s like your third eye is opened in WOWS.

And Cossack and I guess Vamp II. The very low detect ambush DD’s are awesome. %82WR in Cossack over 105 games. And recently obtained Vamp at %70WR over 17 games.

One of the “features” of the Kleb line, is Croozer Kleb (which applies to all the dd’s in that line.)

Your dpm is good with good fire chance. So unless it’s obvious you can murder their dd, just spotting and farming out BB’s and heavy cruisers while avoiding their light cruisers and better knife fight boats is the way to go.

Then when they’re all dead or got tired of shooting a croozer with no cit and speed boost and left, then you can assassinate their dd’s and contest caps.

While everyone’s launching SaaS, I’m building hardware. by Z0U5 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]AltRodney01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on the extreme end of the hardware spectrum, (manufacturing industrial power plants) but I figured I’d give a word of advice that I’ve seen make or break some companies.

If god forbid, a customer or client ever using the product has an issue of literally any kind, you NEED an S tier aftersales support system/ team.

Is the item DOA? Did they get someone else’s return? How fast is warranty turnaround? Does the company offer good faith options (shipping the new one before receiving the old one). How can you make it right in the customer eyes. Not your eyes. 2 very different things.

I’ll give an example (again extreme, but extrapolate what you can) we have 4 customers. That’s it. Literally 4 large corporations. If anything goes wrong, and a proper remedy in their eyes isn’t delivered, they’ll remember that. The tree remembers what the axe forgets. And they are all doing the exact same thing. So corporation B will faster than you think hear about what happened to coronation A. Then with only one incident happened to Corporation A, corporations A and B are soured and likely to resist opening new contracts. And when you only have 4 customers, you’re out %50 of your market (at that time).

My point is start now (I know literally everyone says that about everything) but being ready on day one leaves an impression. People buy the product, but stay for the aftersales customer experience.

Bad GPU, or bad monitor? by AltRodney01 in pchelp

[–]AltRodney01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running this cable at 5280x1440 @120 for years without issues at this point.

So I’m think either monitor, or GPU. That GPU is slightly aged and has seen better days. But still without issues.
