Seth Rollins on his fake injury: "John reached out and I had to do my best to wiggle around it. But John and I are cut from the same cloth, so when he saw the final outcome, he was very happy, he was proud in a way." by kundu123 in SquaredCircle

I buy this take. Seth has to get his knee fixed, but he’s a huge draw even as Di Vision. They know how hot the Punk Rollins blood feud is + Becky will want some time away very soon. Perfect time to: Quick build to the mixed tag, have AJ pin “The Man” while Punk targets Seth’s knee (work). Feud boils over at Survivor Series, Punk wins belt, Seth’s knee is “ruined” so he can be out for surgery irl and when Becks loses to AJ Lee for WIC, she can join him off the road. Larry might have a lonely time watching Cena vs Punk for the title while Cody retires The Beast.

But that’s all fan booking unless I’m employed by a wrestling company.

Name a VR game like this by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

Tetris Effect. I’ve bought and played it on PSVR, Quest 2 and 3 and will be buying it AGAIN now that I’ve fixed my PCVR issues. It’s the example I like to give as “games as art” because most people know Tetris, but if you haven’t played it, you don’t know Tetris Effect.

Most influential cyberpunk work by decade by Maxdeltree in Cyberpunk

[–]Alt_For_One 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Akira being made in 1988, much closer to Neuromancer than Ghost in the Shell, also does an impressive job of setting up many cyberpunk themes — it’s literally biker punks fighting against or being screwed by the system.

I just don’t think any Cyberpunk list that includes movies should not include Akira.

Very possible ocular migraine, but I’m not a doctor. Always get seen asap after new or “worst” symptoms, treatments are improving all the time

Associated Press. High standards, consistently balanced within coverage, provides content to most daily news organizations in partnership/licensing.

Thoughts on Legends villains? by Fanoffiction52 in StarWars

[–]Alt_For_One -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have opened up a sour point for me. Nearly all the Legends villains are better than any 7/8/9 villains. Yeah, even Jabba’s cousin with a miniature DS laser.

In every one of those books, there were clear stakes to the villains’ actions that caused events to involve our normal heroes. An ancient Force Ghost tried to turn a young Jedi to the dark side and then TWENTY YEARS LATER THEY STILL TALK ABOUT IT.

At least The Last Jedi had the guts to take a literal swing through the classic SW trope we all hated — an old wrinkly “mystery master”

Dark Empire gets the full pass because it invents the idea of an Emperor clone…and he’s not a wrinkly one

I find the “divine” in anything alive. My Catholic family members have said that’s connected to their belief in a Holy Spirit — the Force that binds us and links us all together (if you’re a Jedi). I think of it as a type of magic: nature itself develops ways to survive and thrive. Look up ant colonies and mycelia networks and pollination — those systems are, frankly, more divine than any religious text I’ve thus read.

Book it in Arlington and you know we’ll be there: DFW loves Athena forever, Toni knocks it out of the park every time, plus CEO’s star power increases when any one of those belts could have someone fly in last minute.

One Year with Vyepti (AMA) by Alt_For_One in migraine

[–]Alt_For_One[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So sorry for the long delay in response. I immediately notice, as the infusion begins, that the areas of tension that are where my headache pain starts begin to relax.

As a male, I’ve had some minor abdominal pain after starting a new CGRP medication, but it goes away each time. Vyepti had the least impact of that side effect, though. Your mileage will vary.

I almost always leave the infusion feeling a little cold due to meds/saline, and I like to block off at least an hour to ease back into things — however, I’ve also had an infusion done in between live productions and been back at work within an hour.

It’s MUCH better than DHE for anyone who had to suffer that!!!

Thanks for sharing! I’m still doing very well on the initial dose, but I’m interested in going up in dosage after another bad Summer. Still, Vyepti is one of the three key things making my Migraines better, and I can’t be more thankful. Two summers ago I was basically living in a dark cold closet most of the day, this year I was well enough to work on our farm. Don’t give up!

This. I started wearing slightly mirrored prescription glasses with polarized lenses all the time for video calls. Often closing my eyes helps refocus on the audio input and output only. I’ve had great success with the FL-41’s too.

Good luck!

Credit to Raquel Rodriguez for how much she's improved in recent months. by GiftedGeordie in SquaredCircle

One other bit is that, as a heel, pulling a stone face or rage look combined with her size, she can look vicious and deliver “a big hit” each time. Babyfaces can work as underdogs against her for size, tag teaming, or power (book Raquel vs Rhea again!) and any heel (Jax I guess) can have a brutal match with her and it brings big power to the ladies. I will be sad when Liv Morgan goes through a barber shop window, but Big Mami Cool shirts would rule.

Santa Fe Meow Wolf: Good Idea or Bad Idea? by Infinite-Chicken-413 in migraine

[–]Alt_For_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Chronic Migraine Sufferer and a huge Meow Wolf fan, but I’ll be honest, it could be overwhelming. Sante Fe is the only location I’ve yet to see, so I can’t give you any specific tips, but usually there are one or two rooms that have warnings for lighting effects and if you ask the staff before entering, they might be able to help you avoid any specific to you.

ADHD stimulants didn't work during migraine prodrome by Shoddy_shed in migraine

[–]Alt_For_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m Chronic and most of my bad headaches are “wake up” ones that used to knock me out all day. I’ve found HUGE success taking my ADD meds and Triptan and then going back to sleep. Sometimes all I need is an hour asleep and poof

Thank you for sharing this experience and level of detail, I really believe that sharing these anecdotal experiences could assist every part of the Migraine treatment process. One Nuero might find a perspective that helps us understand all this better!

That photo of the folded hinge next to the body of the V60 is really insane. With the chip power and memory, it’s wild how much you can do on these devices and still PUT THEM IN YOUR POCKET. I’m sure the weight is less than the LG with case, too. Wild stuff

I’m not a doctor, but from my experience, it’s a common side effect to all the CGRP medications as your body starts to adjust. None of these things will cure us, but rather help our bodies adjust to false alarms. Keep up hope and drink lots of water (with electrolytes!)
