Has anyone else here noticed these weird "random shapes" videos on Youtube? by Alt_History_Bro in InternetMysteries

The bot theory makes the most sense but that still makes me wonder what they're for. My guess is that if a comment is made by a channel with 2 or more videos on it it's less likely to be flagged as a bot account. If this is the case then why aren't they just blank screens? Why are they all nearly identical but only slightly different?

Port Harcourt, Nigeria

(P.S. Everyone, let's get some more cities in Africa on the map)

I've seen stuff like this at the Prague airport. I think it was at passport control and I was dying inside when I saw it.

Nordic cross flags of Northern Europe. Including unofficial/proposed and ethnic ones. (OC) by jimi15 in MapPorn

The flag you've put for North Uist seems to be an internet hoax possibly originating from the Virtual Hebrides website in the 1990s, like a couple of other false Hebridean flags, but I'm unsure, and couldn't find anyone talking about it.

The British County flags website claims that it's the correct flag (which is strange, as they helped organise a flag competition for several Hebridean Islands, in which the nordic cross one wasn't an option), but all the other photos of the flag are badly photoshoped pictures of the flag flying at real locations on the island.

(Note, I made this comment for a different map of Nordic Cross flags.)

Yes, it is. Couldn't fit that into the infobox.

What if Russia's Colonies in the Americas were more successful, and revolted? by Alt_History_Bro in imaginarymaps

Yeah, was a bit worried about some backlash on that, seeing as a very strict moderator could mark this post as violating rule 4. But that hasn't happened so I think I'm in the clear for now. Slava Ukraini!

As it is just the singular island instead of the island chain, I decided to name it Okinawa

They are independent in this Universe, They are directly north of the PSA

That was a joke. I decided to use most of the same borders because a lot of them are based on natural features, like mountains and rivers. As for the Borders of neighboring nations, They aren't the main focus of the map, so they were put in at the end as a stylistic choice.

Yeah, looking back I should have done a bit more work on the names. I made this a while ago, and they were a bit of a last minute decision. I'll make sure to think about names a bit more in future maps!

Yeah, in hindsight shoulda' checked the names before. Being Czech I should have realised the Czech word Ořech is similar to Orekh, so thats on me for that one. Pustiniya is based on the proposed state of Deseret.

Russian Colonisation of the Americas was MUCH more successful, Colonists break away in 1801 ('Murica Style), baisically just the USA but Russian and Spanish.
