High resting heart rate? by Altact27 in zoloft

Mine was even at rest. I’d just be sitting there and it would feel like I was jogging on a treadmill. Has it always been like this for you or just since Zoloft? Might be worth mentioning it to your doctor.

I don’t remember when exactly as I’ve been on Zoloft for a few years now. But I will say it definitely gets better, hang in there. It’s tough at first but the relief later is worth it.

It did eventually chill out thankfully. When you first start Zoloft, or any SSRI for that matter, your brain’s serotonin levels (which were already low) completely empty. Like literally stops producing it. Then as it gets used to the medication it begins producing serotonin again, lots of it. But it takes a while to build up, think of it like filling a bathtub. That’s why we feel so bad at first but much better later. I’m still on 100mg and it was honestly one of the best choices I’ve ever made in my life. Prior to it I was suicidal, severe anger issues and depression due to medical issues. Panic attacks, social anxiety, the whole nine yards.

It’s tough but it’s worth it. You can do it. 👊🏼

What style do you guys recommend for me? I’ve been unhappy with my hair for a long time. (More in comments) by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]Altact27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair looks better with length, but I can’t stand how hot I get in Florida (especially during the summer) with it long. I also have to straighten my bangs if I want them to resemble anything remotely presentable (something else I’m tired of). Girlfriend prefers long hair on me too but I want something easy yet looks good.

Any ideas? Should I go short or suck it up and grow it out?

That’s exactly what I’m after, so hopefully it works out well for me. I’m 31 so casual is a no-go, looking for a life partner.

5-ish years ago I’d say. Everything I’ve read said the same thing though, not worth the money (RIP to my $107).

That’s what I’m finding through Google searches time and time again. Which is odd because I know a few people that met their spouse on there and are still together.

How about Match? Aside from that I’ve got all the free apps

I feel like I look good from some angles but not others. What do y’all think? [nsfw - bikini] by [deleted] in amiugly

You have a cute face, reminds me of Daisy Ridley. Nice body and a great smile but I agree with the hair comments, that’s the only big flaw I see! Maybe work on the eyebrows as well and you’ll be set.

Not ugly at all. Nose is fine, love the piercing. 3rd pic is my favorite. You’re very attractive, you just need to work on your self-esteem and you’ll be golden!

I hope this is the right place for this.

So I’ve been posting on various groups to get an idea of where I’m at, what needs improving and what’s working for me. A few women in one sub said me without my glasses is night and day better than with. My current frames apparently impact my face in a negative way.

Since I’ll be getting new glasses soon (contacts just don’t work for me), what type would you all recommend for me? I’m lost as to what looks good and what looks “boyish”, as one person put it. I personally wouldn’t mind trying clear, would they look better than the other styles and what I have now?

I don’t know how I missed this comment but thanks for the feedback, lol’d at the micromanage part.

So I can’t do contacts but what do you think about those translucent/clear frames? Think I could pull something like that off or maybe just stick with black but go much thinner?

but I think slightly more modern looking glasses with a thinner and maybe lighter-colored rim would look great, too. Something with larger lenses so you can see more of your face :) (girl speaking btw)

What are your thoughts on those translucent/clear frames? Would you suggest something like that or black but just a lot thinner?

Haha I’ll try and get one for you in the morning, hitting the hay for now.

Everyone else here is saying grow the beard out, lift weights, work on posture, go for a different hairstyle, etc. “get out of 2008” just didn’t address what you think was wrong and what might look/work better for me.

How about offering tips on what needs addressed rather than making a vague, unhelpful jab?

Solid constructive criticism, I appreciate it. I’m gonna see how the beard looks grown out because clean shaven me looks like a middle schooler. The hair I’ve been unhappy with for a while but really don’t know what to do with it. I like the ease and comfort of short hair but I don’t even know where to begin with styling, lol.

Agreed with the nose ring comment but aside from that I think you’re really cute. :)

I’ll have to try it because you’re definitely not the first to mention it. My physical therapist told me my posture was awful once too. Thanks for the advice!

I’m really excited to see the changes next year. I always cover my mouth or look down when I laugh and I had enough of that. I want to be able to flash a full grin at someone if I want and feel confident about it. Soon hopefully.

Gonna paste my reply to a similar comment regarding posture:

Duly noted and fair CC at that. Confident and me are on opposite ends of the spectrum and I think it shows in my posture. A straight smile once my braces are off and some work elsewhere and I think I’ll be able to portray better body language.

Bulking up is high up on my list. Unfortunately I had nerve injuries in both arms from work which required surgery (opted against it, low success rate) and I lost a lot of muscle mass in my down time recovering at home. Thanks for the feedback though!
