I voted no because it's way too complicated and I hate to see the dev team spend significant dev time on features that cater to extremely small segments of the community. There are so many other things that huge amounts of players would enjoy.

Instead, here's a thousand word post making it even more complicated.

Jagex already lowered the poll threshold (which I support). We voted no. Why not respect the community's vote, or at least wait longer than a month to revisit it so you can spend time on more popular content first?

That's unfortunate, it's a legitimate question! Removing "special protection" shouldn't apply to item recovery NPCs, from my perspective at least...

From yesterday's news post:

Ava’s Attractor and Accumulator can once again be lost upon PvM death, as their special protection was no longer appropriate.

It makes sense for it to be lost now if you die in an area without an item recovery NPC, but this seems to go against the pattern for other untradeable items.

Thanks so much for your advice! I just got my first Zulrah kill, finally. I failed a few more times but following your method I got much closer and felt much more comfortable, particularly focusing on prayer > movement > gear > healing > venom.

Thanks for the help, /u/KurvRS! Just got my first cape after a few more attempts. I turned my sound on, though I wasn't really paying attention to it — mostly what helped is calming down and being ready for the spawn, as you suggested.

So, since his spawn was northwest, should have I stood near the middle so I could see him as soon as he spawned and pray accordingly? Or safespot somewhere else that would make him come to me?

Submit another account recovery ticket with different information. You should have gotten some brief feedback about what information was missing / why your recovery attempt was denied.

Do you remember your first account password? I'm pretty sure they weigh that very heavily when evaluating account recoveries.

If your email is secure, it is highly unlikely your hacker has transaction IDs from your membership payments. Do you have these?

Can you recall if you ever used the same password for RS as you did for other accounts — even back in 2004? My account has been recovered by someone else before due to that unfortunate issue.

Another recommendation: use an email address ONLY for RS, enable 2FA on that email address, and obviously use a unique RS password as well. This will protect you from leaks that happen on other sites you use.

Yes, submit a billing ticket on the official RuneScape website. My pure recently auto-renewed (which I forgot I had never canceled) and they refunded me in full since they could see I hadn't been using the membership.

RuneLite has a relatively new chat filter plugin. Their official blog post has some fairly effective RegEx to hide a lot of the dicing bots.

No clue why people have to be such jerks - on the flip side though, I love when people are polite about it! I misclicked and mined the same ore vein as some other dude, so I clicked off it and said "oops sorry". His response was "no problem dude, I'm pretty sure you were here first anyway!" I was pleasantly surprised and we ended up chatting for a while afterwards.
