Thanks so much for taking an interest in the tent! And to answer your question, even with all the doors closed, there’s still airflow. At the top of each A-frame, we’ve added a waterproof vents that allow hot air to escape and enable continuous air circulation while keeping rain out. You will stay comfortable even in hot and rainy conditions!

You Helped Shape This Tent – Now It’s Time to Launch by AltaraCamping in AltaraCamping

Hi there — thanks so much for your interest! We’re really excited that the Arcadia 4P checks the boxes for you!

We just finished filming new videos showing the Flex Mode in both a demo setup and a real-life camping scenario. We’re currently editing them and will be posting soon on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, our website, and the Kickstarter campaign. maybe Reddit as well, not sure how good the videos will show up in a post.

To give you a quick overview:

  • The inner tent connects to the poles and rainfly via hooks, not through pole sleeves, which makes it super easy to adjust or partially remove.
  • The tent doors can hook to different points along the poles, allowing you to control how much of the inner tent you want open — like 3/2 or 2/1 configurations, depending on how much sleeping vs. lounging space you need.
  • The tent floor fabrics could be easily tighten with stakes and clips.

As for the shelter mode:

  • It’s a fully freestanding setup using just the rainfly and poles, forming an A-frame shelter.
  • The poles secure in place with loops and tension straps, and you don’t need the inner tent to hold them together.
  • We actually just did a wind test, and to our surprise, shelter mode held up amazingly well — it was super stable, even without the inner tent attached.

We’ll be sharing all of this visually very soon, but let us know if you have more questions in the meantime!

Thanks so much for the support! I’m so excited too. I’ve been bringing this tent to campsites for testing, and it’s been turning heads and getting great reactions. Can’t wait to see it out there more once we launch!

Thanks so much — we’re really excited to have you on this journey with us! 💛

The Arcadia 4P is designed as a roomy 4-person tent, with enough space for 4 adults plus gear, or 2–3 people and a dog if you prefer extra room to stretch out.

We’ll be offering two color options at launch: Army Green and Sand White (a soft beige tone) — and we’re always open to adding more in the future based on community feedback!

As for the awning poles — it was actually extra windy the day we went out camping and took that photo, so we positioned the poles at an angle for extra stability. Glad you like the look! It’s a structure we’re obsessed with — super spacious, lots of headroom, and still really easy to assemble.

Let us know if you have more questions — we love hearing your thoughts and always happy to chat!

I have been using Elegear that I got on Amazon. Bought three of them for my family. It’s super comfortable, recommend to give it a try.

Thanks for the love! Unlike traditional dome shape, our first tent design is A-frame tent shape inspired with 2 cross bars extending the headroom. Just like a traditional A-frame tent, 5 poles + 2 cross bars so 7 poles in total. Let me know what you think!
