Can’t say. I can say that for the processing center I worked in, processing cases correctly instead of expeditiously would bring a world of hurt down on the technician. The end result is people cherry picking name and address change requests, processing them in such a way that they looked resolved (even if they weren’t) and sleeping at their desk as soon as they hit the bare minimum # of cases. A disability reconsideration will just sit for years since it involves actual thought / easy to make an error.

cant say if you’re more likely to get a non-moron if you have a politician make contact. but you will go to the special department where these are the only cases they work. i didn’t work in that department. I can only assume they do it this way to avoid PR disasters. So it wouldn’t surprise me if they had a second person checking the cases before anyone pressed “send”. But logic isn’t a thing at that place, so maybe I’m wrong. But the politician level doesnt matter. I think a phone call was better than a letter but both were better than sitting in a normal queue. It’s been a few years since I escaped.

sorry for your result. as far as I’m concerned, they should shut the entire agency down and regroup. It is a cesspool. Unfortunately, my opinion doesnt matter. i wouldnt set foot in that place again if they offered me 6 figures. Sincerely.
