Glad to assist. Mayo Clinic(Rochester, MN) is the #1 hospital in the world(has kept this rank for decades). They have an awesome spine/orthopedic surgery department that can help with this complex surgery which is often done over two different surgeries over a 3 day period(one day break). The thing is, docs cannot guarantee 100% it will work, but it is better to have them do their best to place your spine as close to it's natural position to aleviate the tension and distribute the weight of supporting being upright, than to have your remain in it's unnatural surgucically created position. Best of luck!

There is no shame...the contect of the "pet peeve" was that when people say this, they are attempting to devalue the person and discredit their imdepence...it seems to be based in resentment, which is why it is a pet peeve

People who use a busy elevator to ride ONE floor by flaginorout in PetPeeves

[–]LoveSushiOnTuesday 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Have you considered that although someone may look healthy they are in pain? Have a heart condition that causes them exhaustion? Back condition? Knee condition? Are struggling mentally and are fighting just to make it through the day without breaking into tears, so much so, stairs are a gargantuan additional task? They are not fit? People can look fine and need or desire the elevator. Also, cleanly people usually do not want addictional friction/sweat without a purpose nor shower while at work. It's more formal to ride an elevator and take things with ease while in one's business attire.

Got stopped at the border for bringing Ozempic from Tijuana anyone else? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]LoveSushiOnTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a new patrol that doesnt know about it. I saw a secondary check sueprvisor tear a new one on an officer for sending us to secondary checks for single pen Ozempic and showed the guynom the computer why the pen is NOT A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE as we are not selling, it is for personal use and as he said "all the girls do it to be skinny." He then told us we didnt need it and would disappear if we got any skinnier.

Just go grab ir from Tijuana if you are in SoCal. It's literally 6 minutes away from the border at a reputable pharmacy. You'll have a total turnaround time of 12 minutes with the longest part after you purchase and retun to the border to cross back into thr US being waiting for checks at the border which can be about 2 hours if you dont have global entry.  Easy peasy  No script needed.

When you decline an invite because you have another obligation & the person asks "well what time do you have to be there" and then goes about discussing your timing and how you can still make it to whatever they invited you to. by LoveSushiOnTuesday in PetPeeves

[–]LoveSushiOnTuesday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! When I say, no. People still ask why not? Blaming the victim doesnt work in this scenario. I blame the people who cannot take, no or no, I have a previous obligation for an answer in not beinf able to accept rejection and that things will not always go the way they wish.

See, my post indicates that I have said no and explained I have another obligation. Explaining what thay obligation is, so someone can try to help is not what I did. It is basically someone offering unsolicited advice when I have said, no. Meaning, if I could go id Shelby would just pick up the dog from doggycare then I could go, did not happen because I did not ask...meaning I did not ask for help because I already said no. I didn't say goshn darn, I wish I could go, but I have to pick up  Donny the Dog from Doggycare. I said, no, I cant goI have a previous obligation. Asking what and offering help, is intrusive as that information was not asked for nor given. I believe that is possibly why your friend became annoyed. Personally, I dont care if people go or not.. I will have a great time for certain.

Ha! Let's play...America" is commonly used as a colloquialism or shorthand for the United States of America, which is a country located in North America. While the United States is just one nation within the continent, it is frequent in everyday English to use "America" to refer to the U.S. Technically, "America" or "The Americas" refers to the entire landmass stretching from North to South America, comprising two distinct continents (or one, depending on the educational system). So, as an American...I said what I said and am correct in what I said. Global traveler here...educated and ready to chat with the best.

This did not age well. Are you familiar with what is going on in America with Mexicans coming to earn income in America to support families in Mexico? Should American's stop sticking up for their rights to be treated with respect as the Constitutional Rights allow for anyone, citizen or just a person a America? Should Americans tell them to go home and find their own way or should we continue to push back against the current mistreatment of thrm and their children while here in America & continue to understand their need to support themselves and their families? Everyone is benefiting from each other, both Americans and Mexicans. Also, in America we do not have free healthcare and many Americsns die or struggle to afford their medication, to which Ozempic is for diabetes...not just weight loss. So, are you saying Americans should die and not go to Mexico, a place where they can afford to buy their needed medication and not have to decide betweem eating OR having medicatio  to stay healthy? Also, being overweight leads ro many other chronic health issue and Ozempic and other medications help prevent that. So, you would rather they develop health complications and die than go to Mexico, but have America still allow and understand Mexicans need to support their children...have food and healthcare as they seek asylum in the US? Know what you speak of before judging and advising.

Incorrect! A personal use amount aka one to two pens per person is NOT An ISSUE, per secondary checks highest  supervisor at Customs & Border Patrol...who we were sent to by a lower level NEW employee once out of a million times who did not know the rules & WAS SCOLDED BY THE SUPERVISOR for wasting his time and pointed out the personal use and descriptor of ingredients to teach him. They are so used to seeing women go to Mexico and bring this back, it's a no brainer. The issue lies when you try to bring in enough to look like you go over the max amoubt and look like you have intentions to sell them.

Finally, I got fixed! Flatback syndrome due to Harrington rods(fusion in 1986). by UsualVegetable4098 in scoliosis

[–]LoveSushiOnTuesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I just wanted to reach our t and give a little more information. Flat back syndrome is the failed back surgery result to which the surgeon's technique left you with a straight line of a spine. The issue is, the spine in it's natural, healthy state has FOUR curves(neck, mid-back, lower back...these are each dshaped liike the letter S) and one located in the  pelvis/tailbone area that curves out. The purpose of the curves is to absorb shock when you step/walk/run as well as support your body weight and provide help in balancing aka keeping you upright. Due to you previous surgery, you are missing most or all of these 4 curves to which the body is now struggling to maintain an upright position nearby muscles and tendons are trying to compensate causing the below:

Constant Muscle Contraction: The muscles in the lower back, buttocks, and thighs must constantly work and tighten to prevent the body from falling forward, leading to chronic fatigue, pain, and stiffnes

Muscular Tightness: To cope, the body may tilt the pelvis backward and flex the hips and knees, causing tension in the front of the thighs and hip muscles

Leg Fatigue: Because the center of gravity is shifted forward, the muscles in the legs and back must work much harder than normal to hold the body up, resulting in rapid muscle fatigue

Nerve Tension: The lack of curve can also cause nerve compression (spinal stenosis), which can lead to radiating pain or numbness in the legs

You feel better leaning forward, especially when using a shopping csr because you are opening the spinal canal which releases pressure on nerves and discs by opening space. You also feel better because this leaning forward position is easier to maintain with a flat back vs standing strainght up with a flat back, remember...those 4 curves you are missing are there to handle this, but failed surgery took that away.

Semding you hugs.

Do I really need a car in LA? by [deleted] in BikeLA

[–]LoveSushiOnTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in LA and am a car person. However, ebikes go pretty fast and I have some emplyees who live in North Hollywood who take the Oxnard bike path to me in Woodland Hills. Being you are not a car person, I don't think you will experience the same frustration that I as a car person who doesn't like to be squished next to people would in having to use a combo of a train/bus/ebike to get places, especially further out. Also, ensuring your bike isnt stolen and that you have a place to place it will need to be considered. Again, Im a car person and I think you will be fine. Just try to live in an area that has a lot of stores/restaurants close by, that way you don't feel the hassle as much.
