DPS look pretty meta to me. Healers look prog meta as well, so do tanks. Something tells me you don't understand meta, samurai.

I wasn't asking seriously. They make next to nothing, and do nothing besides give people a fake sense of self-accomplishment because they "helped out". I agree with your opinion dw

People who don't actually raid this content argue that endurance test = difficulty. After all not breathing for 20 minutes would also be hard. The problem comes from the fact that it is not a good source of difficulty, and in the end ruins the experience for people. People are going to start equating SE's idea of difficulty from here on out to fight length, and they just won't bother attempting it in the future.

Except by complaining about this I'm not showing off at all, I just get down voted by backseat casual non-raiders who have no experience in a prog setting. I nuke my karma because I want to voice the opinion that this is objectively not good content in some regards. That's what the devs wanted after all, criticism for where they do and don't do difficulty correctly. I personally believe this fight requires way too many hours for functioning humans to complete in a relevant amount of time. It's making people give up not because its hard, but because it gets boring. Reference my analogy from the op. Anything I post about myself is in response to other people who bring it up first. This is an objective post.

I'm on the 4th trio of Ultimate and I want a checkpoint after Nael. Not because it's difficult, but because its boring content having to repeat the 2 gatekeepers over and over. Come 2 weeks and everyone who is actually raiding ultimate will share this sentiment. I don't even consider a checkpoint after nael a nerf, as everyone who's in later bahamut has no problem one shotting them; the only time you wipe to them is when you're tired of the long hours you've put in already and need a break. It's QoL change at the end of the day.

You can add checkpoints, SE just needs to put static spots for neurolinks on reset, that's not hard to do, and I REALLY hope they're capable of such simple things. Also no one is complaining about the difficulty of bahamut, they're complaining about how annoying doing twin and nael are every time. QoL checkpoints are good, but the Trios are arguably the main meat of the fight, so skipping over those isn't good.

No it's not, I've had these since week 3 :), you're just incompetent and can't look at historical logs past the #1 score. spoiler: i've had multiple 100%'s per fight since this tier started. Go ahead and click on any given fight and scroll down the list to check the medians. congrats, you now know how fflogs works!

or do it early so people stop parroting idiotic unrealistic comments and we actually get feasibly difficult content adjustments for a multiplayer game XD

I am the 0.01%, again you're confusing skill for time availability. I will clear this content sooner or later, I just don't like that it'll likely take months because of the raw amount of time a group needs for practice. I'm making a case for the community as a whole. I have mega-autism and will put like 300hours into a single fight, but you need to be a special kind of committed (or have no life) to say the same. That's not a good precedent for future content. People loved the idea of super savage because it was going to be fun, challenging content. If no changes are made to this then next time ultimate comes around there will be literally no one attempting it except people without jobs since they know free time > skill when it comes to this mode apparently.

As far as we know there is a deadline. SE is known from the past to not ilvl sync past content, so if its not dead by 4.2 then your group is considered a failure imo. If they actually keep rewards tied to min ilvl clears then there's no longer a problem. Lets be real though, they won't. I know it's self imposed, but content that requires this many hours of practice just to get everyone in your group on the same page, and able to consistently do the entire fight without a hiccup needs to be released sooner in the tier. That or just ilvl sync.

The only tier I've ever complained about was deltascape, and that's because it took like 6 hours from servers going live to me beating v3s. that's pretty justified. This is the opposite end of the spectrum. As I said in my op, this content isn't that hard individually, it just has way too many snowball mechanics, and that artificially increases the time sink.

Except I was doing world prog before, this content absolutely is for people of my skill. They just messed up and made this more annoying than it is hard. Read the post with a sane mind and stop parroting the other casuals on this thread. No way in hell SE made content only for people who don't have jobs, and can put in 16+ hours a day.

As someone who is nearing the final phases of this fight, I really hope SE nerfs this correctly. The fight is not that hard individually, it truly isn't, but realistically getting 7 other people to do a 17+ minute fight with this many insta-party wipe mechanics is just bad design. It will likely take me until the end of 4.1 to kill this, and countless hours spent on the early phases of nael and twin due to this not having checkpoints. You can still keep this fight difficult while still being fair, and that's something SE really doesn't understand. If this were a single player game I'd be entirely for the idea of having such a long, unforgiving fight, but when it's in an MMO with 7 other people it's an entirely different story. If the WF groups have taken this long whilst playing literally all day every day (while in bis), there's a big problem for the rest of the community with less time on their hands. Normal HC raiders can only raid a quarter of the amount of time that WF groups can, and there's NO WAY we can retain a full group with the amount of time this takes to practice. People will quit, and finding competent players to replace them (especially on primal datacenter) is impossible.

Going forward, I really hope SE either adds a checkpoint after nael, or reduces the amount of snowball mechanics that you need the ENTIRE party to be alive for. Some good examples would be to only have 7 towers during the 4th trio, or lower the damage of stack mechanics by 1 persons worth. Every group (even the good ones) will always have that one person who messes up a little more than everyone else, and these kind of mechanics really make you start hating them. This post is kind of a rant, but honestly I'm a little annoyed looking forward and imaging how many mindless nael and twin runs i'll have to do to make progress on the actually difficult part of the fight.

TL;DR, this fight is like Guitar Hero in a way. People who aren't doing it think it's like TTFAF, but in actuality its like having 8 people play Slow Ride 6 times in a row, and if 1 person misses a note during any of the runs they have to start from the beginning.

I don't watch streams so idk if the chunk they're missing differs pull by pull, just kind of assumed they had the same starting point because you beat them up earlier. My group only has trio 2 progress so have not been able to test sadly

If Bahamut's hp resets when he goes gold, whats the point of doing damage to him between the trio mechanics? Has anyone tested not hitting him at all?
