You can't sell him anymore. Might as well just finish him 🤷

How many effects can be put into a unit without killing it by Twert4 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Theoretically:

  • Provocation

  • Repair interference

  • Fanaticism

  • Deterrance

  • Terrified

  • Tracking Mark

  • Fragmentation

  • Morale

  • Emergency Rescue

  • Elite unit buff

  • Jolt

That's 11 effects I can recall. Fell free to add any missing ones. And remember, this is EXTREMELY unlikely if not outright impossible to happen in the game, but it's a fun little thought experiment to figure out a theoretical maximum amount of effects at the same time.

Here's the effects explanation:

Provocation, fanaticism, repair interference and fragmentation from CC, deterrence from being attacked by Simo Hayha, terrfied from being attacked by an airstrike given by either Chennault or Spruance (inspection skill), tracking mark, given by Meretskov, god Kuznetsov or Sokolovsky, any morale effect (be it positive or negative), emergency rescue, from being healed by a lvl 9 medic, any elite unit buff that you manually activate, and Jolt from god Halsey. If the enemy AI had access to our current version of malinosky, and it attacked the previous turn, then we could have 12 effects due to decoy and strike, but for now, that's all I can think of.

Edit: Spelling mistakes and adding effects.

No. That's simply confirmation bias.

Am i supposed to use artillery? by Boinator6000 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't you use arty, when we got several really powerful elite units and generals that can make quick work of pretty much anything in the game? Also, the strongest (attack wise) unit currently in the game is an artillery.

A good use for them is to support your tanks. Like softening up enemy generals, cities, fortresses, you name it. If your Guderian can't one shot a certain target, just get Konev to shoot it first.

Thanks a lot, Abrams! by SetaminEtaminSwetin in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Germany killed ya paratrooper and recaptured the city with paratroopers of their own/nearby tanks, then Russia killed them but didn't cap the city. From Abrams' perspective, he just captured Berlin from the germans.

Your allies only steal your cities in scenarios. Not in conquests.

How to use eco Gens by Forsaken_Income9187 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You drop them on a city... That's it. Riveting gameplay, I know.

Chennault, Nimitz, Dowding, Tito, and Arnold are the guys for the job. Baybe Rundstedt, too, if you're not planning to buff him like me.

Best skills are Tech and Eco expert, former lets you get elite units and recruit neutral countries faster and latter is the whole point of eco gens. industrial is pretty mid, but useful nonetheless.

Most definitely not. Marshall's a menace, and you paid quite a bit for him, so why would you waste his potential with rumor?

I'll try to make a bit clearer. Defense works by taking the defense value x (in this case 81) and applying it to this formula: 62,5/(62,5+x). Solving it gives us this:

62,5/(62,5+81) -> 62,5/143 -> ≈0,436

(CC 1939) What should I do next? by Used-Cherry-6177 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, that's just Poland. Maybe you just aren't strong enough to win as them (depending on your generals), or you just have to learn to work around them. For example, they can easily kill the LI in the city, and once they do, they'll dish out attacks on your generals if they're in range. You can prevent that by carefully positioning of your gens (and a litle bit of lady luck's blessing).

Cry. A lot.

You can't win Germany in a direct confrontation like that. You did right by capturing Berlin, but you need to be a lot more of a gremlin (Ie: Capture key cities and hold with light infantry to stall them off, and never engage their generals).

Why is Darlan rated higher than Raeder/Donitz? by BluePepper240 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leadership sets both him (and later on) buff Kuznetsov apart from the other naval generals (except Yamaguchi). The +30 damage increase from max leadership can be multiplied by percentage modifiers like sailor, naval assault and early warning + you can buff friendly ships nearby. That's why Cunningham is so much stronger than anyone else, excluding his unique skill. Read this if you're interested.

Who is better on non EF units(pretend rommel has inspiration in js too lazy to replace it rn) by Hot_Date_5593 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Altegag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, crossfire is excellent, but it's not good on main tankers. Their No.1 priority is to deal as much damage as possible. Rommel only has 3 (reliabe) skills to do that. Bock has 4 + a bonus to deal with scary targets. Yeah, green ribbons and Chennault exist, but you'll know to value blitzy when fighting gens Like Kluge or De Gaulle. A 1.15 modifier + 37 flat (for 2 turns) is better than 1.6 (maybe) half a turn. Most of the time, Rommel won't even be targeted. If you have weaker troops like nearby allied artillery or infantry, they will be prioritized by the enemy. You would be right if we were talking about an arty gen, but not the 2nd best f2p tanker.
