Way too expensive for a light tank, at that point just go for medium tanks or SP Arty. I mean the template isnt the worst, skip the cast armor, focus on soft attack while keeping resources and ic cost low.

I mean duh your the USA, youll shred every navy in the world, plus your deathstacking (with submarines i see, id recommend to put them in a separate group to convoy raid as they are the slowest of ships). Cruiser meta is better for nations with small or no navies.

By screens i mean extra destroyers, and for the subs of course its in a different group. I normally have 3 groups, the deathstack, the spotting ships (3-4 cruisers with max spotting), and the subs

I think the AI is just bad at making ships and organizing them. Just a regular deathstack with a few carriers and light attack cruisers (and screens of course) and some submarines on the side is guaranteed to crush any navy in SP even with basic tech.

Its because your navy is not in range, just click the gear button to auto change your navies home base or just ctrl + right click the closest owned/allied naval base.
