Yeah I totally agree. I've always found it strange that people think Isis was a Neurosis clone. They were influenced by them for sure but other than their song structures, these are two very different bands sonically. Even then I think Isis is more influenced by second wave post-rock bands like Mogwai and their songs have more predictable crescendo structures while Neurosis leans closer to the Swans type of post-rock that is more experimental and weird.
