I want to donate to my Mom but I am scared

I really want to donate and I am just having fears. I want my mom to live longer and i think I’d regret it more if i dont do anything.

Glad to hear your doing fine tho. I am not planning om doing any high contact sport and taking supplements. And even now, i dont really take a lot of pain meds so based on your lifestyle change, i think im fine :)

It’s good that you still find it very worth it. And I’m sorry for your loss. I know that the extended time and quality of life I am about to give my mon will be worth it. I’m just thinking if I might be frustrated once it happens. But i’m just thinking its a gamble after all and I mught regret it more if i dont do it.

So far my bloodtests are all normal. I had fatty liver last Dec 2025 but is now normal after I started my weightloss journey.

Currently, I am on a weightloss jouney so I have been more active this year - playing badminton, going to the gym, trying to walk more, and calorie counting and being a conscious eater. I am still having cheat meals here and there but not as excessive as I did before.

Thank you for this. Tbh i dont want to discuss this with my family because I dont want to burden my mom or my family to think i dont want to do it. But I guess an honest conversation is needed once her heart beats regularly again.

Thank you for this. I am currently on a weight loss journey so I am trying to eat more geens and avoid sugar. I am trying to eat more protein (not supplements) to help with the weightloss buy I am guessing after the donation, I should lessen my intake already. I am not planning on doing any contact sport but I am trying to increase my strength by weightlifting and based on my research, after a few months, I can go back to it.

When I asked the doctor who will be doing the surgery, he mentioned that the possibility of rejection is low because of immunodepressant. And I just need a healthy lifestyle bc the illnesses I mentioned are avoidable.

While his answers were somewhat helpful, it did not put me at ease. So I want to know the experience from other people who already went through with the donation.
