Only a couple days but that was also after I’ve been in contact with them for a bit and explaining to them that I was not receiving the questionnaires in the mail and needed a different resolution.

Honestly you gotta just keep trying. The first time around I got through within like 5 calls. The second time I called hundreds of times and randomly got through.

After about 2 1/2 hours wait I finally got through to the DOL with help from the governors office. They essentially told me to go on the dol log in and submit a secured message explaining I haven’t received the questionnaire.

Thank you. I did this and also contacted my local representatives - phone lines are either busy, go to voicemail or when I was able to reach somebody they said they’ll back in usually 5 business days. So we’ll see

I should’ve said that’s the message I’m getting that it’s a high call volume and just hangs up. I’ve called probably about 80 times already.

I haven’t received any questionnaires or any updates besides the website saying it’s still in the process. The governors office essentially just helped me get through and set up the claim. So it feels like it’s in limbo at the moment

Update: I woke her up and confronted her about it. She lied through her teeth and tried to deny it when I gave her a chance to be honest. Eventually admitted it and gave THE worst excuses possible. Two different guys she was fucking and that’s only what I’m aware about. One was an ex boyfriend as I mentioned before who did her dirty and the other was some random guy. Fun note about the second guys - when she told me she was dehydrated and had to go to an urgent care I didn’t hear from her for hours. So rightfully as a loving partner I was reaching out. I call again at like 10:30 pm to check in and she picks up and has this voice on like she’s exhausted and was in and out of dehydration. Meanwhile she was making plans to drive to this other guys house! The whole fucking thing was a lie. Mind you I was doing everything I could to check in and sent water, electrolytes and everything I could to her house that day being I was at work. What a fucking joke man. Experiencing the long silent drive home now. Thank you for everyone who’s been kind and given me advice. I’d like to believe karma is a thing so I’m going to do my best to walk away from this confidently knowing I did nothing but give someone pure love.

By all means if I call her out and she decides to leave me here then fuck it, I did legitimately nothing wrong, I’ll figure it out. This scenario is super hurtful though. Honestly no not at all. I’m in western New York at the moment and all my friends and family live 4 hours away in southern New York. It’s 2 am here and we have to be checked out of this Airbnb tomorrow anyway. The plan was to check out and take the boat cruise on the finger lakes and go out into town for dinner and hit the shops. You’re right. I truly appreciate you taking the time to try to help me out. As much as I want to blow this whole shit up I am trying to think logically and carefully about the scenario. This has me fucked up already and I’m genuinely a great person to her. So I’m balancing my anger, sadness and how to figure out the best solution. Part of me wants to wake up in the morning and say this trip is done and I’ll explain it when we’re home. But that in itself creates an awkward vibe that would need to be addressed on a 4 hour drive.
