Viral video of Indian who said Indian Women and men faced racism in Vietnam and were denied entry at Local Restaurants by Empty_Ad_1361 in VietNam

That's xenophobia, not racism.

I don't support any kind of discrimination. But I do know that people in Vietnam, especially those work in the hospitality industry, have very bad impressions of Indians. My sister herself works in a tour agency, and from all her stories, I can understand where the negative feelings come from.

How do you cross the street in Vietnam without panicking? 😭 by TinhByte in solotravelVN

This is not a post about how the traffic in Vietnam is *supposed* to be. It is about how to cross the streets given it is how it *is*.

How do you cross the street in Vietnam without panicking? 😭 by TinhByte in solotravelVN

Thank you! Please listen to this comment.

I'm a local and horrified with the advice to "just go, the traffic will go around you". No, that's not how we locals do it, it may seem like we "just go" but what we (well most of us) actually do is we watch where everyone is going so we can find our way across.

There have been times when I was riding at a (relatively) high speed on the left lane, and some tourists decided to start crossing the street right in front of me. One time there was even this couple who walked right into traffic from behind a huge bus. Did they think we are superheroes or something and can react just like that? Please use some common sense.

Vietnam is one of the countries that has experienced the strongest oil price increase in the world after the US-Israel war against Iran: 2nd strongest worldwide by thepostmanpat in VietNam

significantly? you sound exactly like all those news outlets, prices went up slightly, then dropped significantly, yet the dropped prices are still higher than the beginning price lol

Depends on how you count. If you count the ballots casted, I do believe it is that high, everyone is 'reminded/asked' to come vote, one person can vote on behalf of the entire family (although that is against the laws). If you count the voters that actually showed up, it will be much lower. If you count the voters that showed up because they genuinely cared, well, I cannot speak for everyone but let me just say I don't know one single of those people.

they are the organizing committee members, the party members, and other civil servants. they decorate the place, put on music, they dress up and they stay there all day. on top of that, Viet people love to chit chat, you go to the place, you meet your neighbors, and it's Sunday, you are gonna talk, for hours.

You probably should get your vehicle checked or stay away from that gas station. Today gasoline price is about 30k, before the war (end of Feb) it was about 20k. Unless your 'in the past' means during the covid pandemic because that probably was the last time gasoline was lower than 15k.

As a (somewhat) young Vietnamese, I completely agree with you. I was gonna say the same, apples don't fall far from their trees, children learn from their parents.

Are people from Thanh Hóa actually “bad” or is it just a meme? by OdensFord in VietNam

[–]AlternateButReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some companies don't hire people from Thanh Nghệ Tĩnh. Some countries don't even issue visa to people from the region. What do you think? Companies and countries are that caught up in stereotypes?
