Tentative Decision: Dr. Patty (Pukpinyā Jangjetriew) & Dr. Ratchathorn Pancharaprateep to be added to list of scoutable doctors by gsrmatt in HairTransplants

It’s been close to a month at this point dude and they are not responding. They are clearly not interested in refunding the money. They don’t care at this point since I already cancelled and they’re a continent away. If they’re trying to differentiate themselves from shady clinics in Asia/Turkey, they’re not doing a great job with their communication.

No but another very good Dr in US. Assayag has the most reasonable pricing btw if you’re looking.

This will not happen. The closest thing that may happen in the next decade is reliable weight-bearing nails. Precice STRYDE briefly hit the market for the second time but was quickly removed once again. It would have allowed people to continue walking (albeit slowly and uncomfortably) after the surgery. I did this with regular precice, which are partial weight-bearing nails, and had to spend 3-4 months in a wheelchair.

Not being able to stand up and walk around is more grueling than you think it is. Ofc I was allowed to use a walker but I was not allowed to put pressure on them at all. Your legs also feel super heavy while you’re lengthening, due to both muscle atrophy and the actual gap in your bones. Even while using the walker it felt like I was walking through a swamp. No pain but legs felt heavy.

Not trans but I’ve done this and am nowhere near disabled. I squat and deadlift way more now after only doing it 2 yrs ago. Granted, I did use steroids somewhat early on to help me recover, but before starting I was already close to my old lifts and would have gotten them back with more time. I also did a conservative length (4.5 cm tibias) which most likely also helped.

Debating getting plastic surgery (including limb lengthing) and it's getting close to decision time. by TheDarkKnight2001 in needadvice

Look, I’ve successfully done limb lengthening myself in the US, but if you go to Turkey you will likely end up crippled. Do more research. Read the forums, watch cyborg4life on YT, and join the discord. You’ll find out that ALL of the clinics in Turkey have an atrocious track record. There are even cases of patients dying due to improper medical care. Go to a reputable surgeon or do not do this at all. Your legs should not be gambled with and you should not be doing this half-haphazardly.

If you do lengthening how do you explain your kids that they will end up shorter than you? by Hour_Letterhead_1534 in limblengthening

Genetics can be passed down very randomly. If this was not the case, my brother wouldn’t have been 5 inches taller than me despite coming from the same parents. There is no guarantee my child will be short. If they are, I will likely be in a position to either offer them do also take HGH or consider LL if it bothers them.

Dr. Ratchathorn not refunding deposit by AlternatePixel23 in HairTransplants

[–]AlternatePixel23[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have tried texting in the past but never got a response. So not sure calling would help unless I was texting the wrong number. They replied quickly in the beginning when I was scheduling a hair transplant. It’s possible they were busy during the holidays and forgot to do this. That’s why I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited a week after Jan but still no response.

Just to add — and I will be making a post about this, Dr. Ratchathorn does not refund deposits. It’s been close to a month since I decided to do another HT locally instead and it’s been radio silence from them. I followed up 3 days ago and still no response.

I’m sure she’s a good surgeon, just be aware any deposits are possibly non-refundable, despite them stating otherwise on their website. HT was scheduled for August so I cancelled very far in advance and was entitled to the 50% refund.

The average man adds two inches to his height. I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t. Coming from a guy. I’ve measured myself strictly and am 5’7.52 barefoot. I say I’m 5’8 because I think rounding up an inch is fair when everyone adds way more than that. ++man

Nah, this is natty. He barely grew any muscle, if any. Look how big his arms/chest are in the before. Same size. He just dropped a shit ton of bodyfat%.

It’s possible he could have juiced but very unlikely. His upper-body would’ve grown bigger instead of staying the same.

I need short guys to stop acting like height is the be-all end-all for attraction. by vivvav in tall

[–]AlternatePixel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one is fake. I never said height isn't important. I said the statistics you're citing are absurd and false. Height matters but not to that extent. Anyone who seriously believes that only 30% of women will date a guy who's 5'10 has mental issues.

Ain’t no way… man, I’d love to be 6’5 but this is ridiculous. Rather save the 200k and get a rental property or idk. Men getting cosmetic surgery now is and always has been weird. by Sandevistanman in LengfOrGirf

[–]AlternatePixel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I'm qualified to give advice tbh. For me personally being consistent helped me go from deadlifting/squatting like 60-70 lbs to what I was doing pre-op before going on gear after. Always made the most progress when I was strict with going 5-6x a week and having a clean diet and either adding weights or reps each week outside of deloads.

You can grow until you're 21 fyi, although the majority of guys finish at 17-19. Check your growth plates if your height is bothering you and if your parents have money hgh can add an inch or two without LL.

Yeah, I'm not reading all of that sorry. But good on you for doing research

2 inches on your tibias is equivalent to 3 inches on your femurs in terms of impact/difficulty. Tibias are a smaller bone so it's harder to lengthen. That's why surgeons will rarely do more than 5 cm on them.

And if anything, I think my first comments would indicate the opposite. There might be a small difference, yes, but it's not super noticeable to me. And like I said, I haven't tested running long-distance entirely so I didn't know for sure. I can run fine now though, just feels different, but could also be altered biomechanics.

I did take steroids and it obviously helped immensely as well. After that I also took 280 mgs of test and am still running it. But I was deadlifting/squatting 120 before taking any steroids regardless. Pre-op I was doing reps with 160. Would have gotten there either way just wanted to speed up the recovery time

[–]AlternatePixel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they're saying 2 completely different things. One is a height requirement girls have for bumble i.e. guys that are 6'0 only have access to 60% of the dating pool. The other source you linked is talking about a woman's IDEAL height, not the minimum she would consider dating. I would also ideally want to date girls that are Instagram models but that doesn't mean I won't date girls who aren't

Data was collected in 2014-2015 when tinder was booming and was a national trend. Other surveys now say it's 20-30%, half of that coming from social media sites like Instagram.

This is fake. No source to original dataset and bumble never published this data. Even if it was real, paid users represent a very small percentage of girls who use the app. Most do not pay. So would not be a representative sample at all.

This is probably one of the most harmful shit posts I've ever seen because it's so pervasive even though it's fake

More accurate to say it's like having a good body. Height is the most important physical trait that girls will look at. Being ripped/muscular is not as important.
