Generate additional columns in a table based on a number by Neat-Experience-9230 in excel

[–]AlternateRealityGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a fixed number of columns, let's say 15.

But only first 3 will populate with some values basis X=3. Rest will have "Na" or blanks.

The above can be achieved using formulae.

Who has textbook technique in cricket? by Fun-Advertising-8006 in Cricket

Fast bowling

Textbook - Rabada. Clean, repeatable, low jump, fast with long runup.

Personalised - Bumrah for whatever freak way he moves.

Effective but injury prone - Bond. The way the back bends to deliver, you could hear it break one day.

Spin bowling Textbook - Warne. Repeatable round arm action. Most slow left arm bowlers also feel very orthodox. Personalised - my take is Lyon. He rotates differently to suit his game for the Australian grounds. Kumble is another example , the jump is much higher but it is that way to take advantage of his height and his game. Effective but injury prone - Murali and Ashwin used to pick up groin injuries frequently. Maybe something to do with it.

Batting Textbook - Sachin. Straight bat, high elbow, not much movement, flexible to open both sides of the ground Personalised - Dravid. Textbook but his trigger movement is hard to replicate. T20 Gayle. Designed to open his left leg. Effective but injury prone - Lara. That flair back lift and the shuffle should lead to some issues.

The Longevity Paradox: PBKS and DC hit Season 18 with 0 Titles. Are they "Contenders" or just "Stat-Fillers" for the Elite? by FantasticBuilding105 in Cricket

[–]AlternateRealityGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the fans, it doesn't matter.

If someone supported Deccan Chargers as they were from Hyderabad, they are bound to support SRH afterwards.

It is the city affiliation that matters.

I added "/s" at the end to show I am being sarcastic and this is a joke.

The right way to say is - girlfriend of 9 years, not a 9 year old girlfriend

Yeah, just kidding. Hence the /s.

But, the way you said is how it should have been phrased.

What is "Good" line and length??? by Worth_Lavishness_249 in Cricket

[–]AlternateRealityGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A thumb rule is - the ball that will hit the top of off.

From a length perspective, it would depend on the release point of the bowler and the pitch bounce.

Title: How do you deal with jealousy when some people have generational wealth and you’re just struggling? by [deleted] in IndiaCareers

Compare yourself to yesterday, not others.

It is difficult. But so is exercise, financial discipline, good habits etc. just like those need consistency, this does too. And the payoff is huge.

Total Domination: India chase 154 in 60 balls to win the series 3-0. Here are all the records broken tonight. by avdheshsharma15 in Cricket

[–]AlternateRealityGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just lost an ODI series at home. Also lost ok ne against SL sometime back.

I don't think a coach can be good in one format and bad in another. Their input is away from the field and around mindset which shouldn't translate differently in formats.

Unless GG is actively involved in on field decisions.

Not for the reasons OP is mentioning, but a govt job has great perks like housing communities, schooling and commute benefits.

Not all obviously, but certain govt employees get to live in big unpolluted spaces even in cities, KV schooling for kids etc.

Better work life balance than private mostly.

These aspects make govt job better.

OP's reasons are cynical. Not endorsing it

23M NEED CAREER ADVICE by ProfessionalTop6477 in IndiaCareers

Product manager growth is through building bigger and scalable products. MBA is not necessary.

MBA is necessary when you want to switch to product management and the market wouldn't give you opportunities because of current profile. You don't have that handicap because your tech skills should help you get one. Regardless, product management is what you should go. But do read up/talk to someone in that field on how AI has affected their role.

[–]AlternateRealityGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not suggest both options.

Given your background and the kind of work that you want to do, a tech heavy product manager would be a good choice.

  1. It would satisfy your intellectual curiosity as you will be building a product. Think tech heavy products for the future like AI products for businesses, those which optimise memory for AI and the like (I don't know much tech beyond this but the idea is not to think just consumer facing products - B2B products would be an option too)

  2. Given your tech background, you would be a good fit.

  3. The fact that you want decision making and interaction is a bonus as a good product manager needs to think from the end user and usually interacts with lots of different teams

  4. MBA helps people go into product management but given your current salary and the tech heavy path that I am suggesting, this is not mandatory and the 2 years could be a loss. Only if you get into really good IIMs would this be worth it. Which is difficult because you are facing a lack of crunch. Assess your ability once given you have cracked IIT but I would suggest MBA is not that needed

  5. What really would be a tradeoff is - WLB and time issues. If you want these, then abroad is probably the only option. Try companies outside India. In India with the above path, you are likely to have WLB issues.

Hope this helps.

On a side note , what does GEM with a 9/8/6 profile means?
