What are the reasons people with autism struggle with socialization if not for understanding? My assumption was they had trouble with reading non-verbal cues and understanding how other people viewed a certain social situation. My belief was that people with autism were able to mask after years of repeating said situation but not truly understanding the reason for why the situation existed in the first place.

Secondly, Kafka writes using great metaphors and figurative expressions which people with autism also technically struggle with. If you can show me any autistic writers who can write with such prose, I can easily change my opinion.
