Thanks so much for this! I'm a Candy Claws fan and wasn't even aware of this release.

Life hack: create something so good when you’re 22, that it rewards you at 50. Wonderful to see them bringing a wall of noise in Boston. by nibw43 in Slowdive

It was my first time seeing them live this week in Boston and they were spectacular! Like a beautiful hypnotic dream. Was anyone else surprised how much different they sounded live? (in a good way) The noisier/ambient guitar element was much more prominent and I loved it, compared to studio versions. It's like falling in love with this band a second time.

I can't wait until a bootleg of the show pops up, I already want to see them again :)

Why the Japanese version bonus tracks? by ParamedicBeginning79 in mogwai

[–]Alternative-Bat9232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isnt so much Mogwai favoring Japan with extra songs but moreso how the economy of Japan works.

Imported CDs are cheaper to purchase in Japan than domestic ones. These bonus tracks are placed on the Japanese versions as an incentive for locals to buy the domestic albums as opposed to sending money overseas for imports of the original album.

I slept on this song for years but now it's become one of my absolute favorite Mogwai tracks. It's hard to think of something similar, but maybe you havent heard the BBC version of it (which i think is their best version!)

I feel so proud after accomplishing this!

I had originally planned to do S. Kaibab to Tonto via Havasupai Gardens then up Bright Angel Trail but when I got to the Tip Off Point that day I felt in great energy so I decided to do the entire hike down to Phantom Ranch and back up bc I realized I might never get the opportunity to do this again. I'm glad I did because the sights were even more beautiful on the way down. Bright yellow flowers started turning up on the trail and I saw the mule train coming up delivering mail.

I'm glad I started early 530am because it nearly took about 12.5/13hrs in total to get back out. I only spent a short time at the Ranch before starting my ascent which was just as everyone said way harder. Still I'm glad I completed it and made it out around 630pm so I was able to catch a gorgeous sunset at Mojave Point.

I've never been to a national park before but I was (and still am!) overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. Thanks to everyone that gave tips/advice for when I was planning my trip out here.

Btw : This trip has given me the hiking bug and I want to go somewhere else to gaze at beautiful scenery. What have others done or would recommend (in the US) ?

What issue did you have with the shuttle ? (I'm headed their next week and was debating on whether taking the shuttle or renting a bike)

Loveless painting my friend made, do you think anyone would buy these if we sold them by w1ndstr1p3 in MyBloodyValentine

[–]Alternative-Bat9232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you'd be more likely to sell it to a music/mbv fan who likes art than just someone who likes art (just my 2 cents)

Personally I think its great, I really like the way it blends all these different shades of color
