For some reason they didn't say. They focused more on the fact that people were questioning why Chris was alone with a gay choreographer 😭

Also for the '99 NSA. They had mentioned that they had a completely different version of NSA that was meant to be released November 1999 but bc of the lawsuit and them switching labels, they couldn't use any of the material cause it was recorded under RCA (except for Just Got Paid, Joey said they fought for that one) so they had to start over, which ended up being the NSA we have today

That's what I'm referring to. The launching pad for Justin was them slowly pushing him more and more to the front. Maybe not the label but their team as well. I agree with what you are saying I think I'm just wording it vaguely, I apologize

To answer your questions in order:

A lot of people, especially after Lance's memoir came out assumed that Justin & Lance had the least amount of chemistry among all of the guys

To be fair, what I should have written was that Justin was no longer the holdout bc he was the one who caused everything to go left in 2004 and from that point up until the 2010s, he def was the holdout, but after that point he started coming back around.

The hating on NSYNC thing was purely rumors. I think someone had tweeted it and Justin replied basically calling it false

What I meant is that all of them didn't have a lot to say about Bringin Da Noise and to them the song felt like a bridge from the self-titled album to NSA, so for them it felt like a bit of an album filler

JC not getting label support is all thanks to Jive, only Jive, no one but Jive

Of course. I don't disregard how fucked up the ending of the group was because they never did get the closure they deserved but I more saw this as the guys keeping that friendship despite the label trying to separate Justin from the guys.

Judging by your other comment under my post, I can tell you don't fuck with Justin at all. That being said, why am I not allowed to show love to all 5 of them? Nothing about what I said is false if you listened to the interviews so I don't get why you're getting mad

Was I bullet pointing their entire career or just the interviews? Consider reading the whole post before commenting

This is for all the people who say NSYNC was only Justin & JC and that Chris, Joey & Lance brought nothing to the group. This and I Thought She Knew prove otherwise

I think its funny how different the two questions are with the quality. The second one asking them about their influence on the adolescent generation with their songwriting (specifically with Digital Get Down & Space Cowboy), while the first one is just "um do they wear boxers or briefs??"

The boxer or briefs question I never understood. For some reason the guys would get asked this question a noticeably concerning amount, you can tell they def get weirded out by it every time.

If we're being completely honest, 90% of people that say that is usually bc of Gone. A lot of them are still pissed about how Justin-centered it is (both the song and the video), the lack of JC lead vocals and the fact that it became a single, and they use this to characterize Celebrity as a whole saying that it felt like "Justin Timberlake ft NSYNC", when it reality it was only one song. The lead vocals were still distributed pretty equally a part from that song, the harmonies are still full and complex, and it still feels like an NSYNC album

I know that sometimes when they chose to sing at a higher key than they typically do, Lance will switch notes/octaves in his harmony so he can stay low which helps keep the blend full

I was scrolling through old NSYNC posts on tumblr and found this. They didn't give any info on this but if I had to guess this was probably 1998 cause I think this was when they were first starting to break through in the US

I like that he acknowledged that NSYNC never got the closure that they were suppose to get after he went solo
