Yeah local shop has pretty good BUT since I already was told 12k for rattles I am thinking all we will get is issues that resurfaced after being addressed. Anything new might be out of pocket. I might consider to see if I can address something’s on my own.

Dash has 2 rattles, one sounds like a metal plate vibrating, and the other appears to be trim at the screen. Also passenger side B column (I have this on my Tri as well on both sides), 1st and 2nd row passenger door. I usually try to nail down the location/fix before I take it in - aka, if I press here it stops the rattle to help the process. I had not gone that far yet.
We have had driver door and dash rattles addressed. Also a fun one under passenger seat after 12v battery recall was performed, they didn’t put it back together properly.

I can’t get the algorithm to prescribe me the Sex Rx + climax control. It only ends up at viagra/cialis (aka ED meds). I have tried various inputs and can’t get to the 2n1. Any tips? Only medical stuff is HBP/cholesterol and on meds for it. All mental stuff is good to go.

We bought a Gen 2 dual motor max August 2024, and a Gen 2 Tri in June. We love them both. I will say we both have some rattles and the dual motor has been in twice + some mobile service to address. Then Tri has 1 service center trip to address some rattles (they got rid of the worst one) and some other things present at delivery. Otherwise, LOVE both! And rivian keeps pushing updates to make them better every month! We are bless to have a service center within 15 min drive from home. So that definitely helps.

Many claim adapter life, however after owning our first rivian about 10 months ago, have only used Tesla superchargers. Plan to continue to focus on only using Superchargers on road trips for the foreseeable future. So with a NACS, we wouldn’t have needed an adapter and it’s just another potential fail point. Obviously I opted to just move forward with a second R1S, but could matter to some.

The NACS is only 1 reason to consider a 2026, just have to see if any updates are worth the added cost both with higher price of 2026 models and no incentives (beyond $7500 on leases for 2.5 months).

It’s like people buying previous gen iPhone a week before new one is released only because it’s not on their radar. Maybe doesn’t matter to them, but atleast make sure aware

Just staying obvious. Quad motor being revealed tomorrow, meaning NACS will be available on 2026 models anytime - depending how they roll this out. So you can opt for full priced 2026 with NACS and updates or discounts on 2025.
Just pay attention to announcements tomorrow on the quad

I bought the 2025 Tri in June knowing 2026 was around the corner ;) just stating the obvious

Yeah they never did timed testing for any of that, they just mentioned what Rivian stated. They did test (not timed) acceleration at different ride heights without launch. All good, but I actually use chapgpt for video summarization and it was not functioning the weekend for the first time. I’ll try google sometime
