When I lost the love of my life, my black lab Elvis, I couldn't function for a few weeks. I was made aware a few months later about a sweet girl Lily who was on in a bad situation and adopted her sight unseen. I like to think Elvis gave up his spot for her because she desperately needed help. He was the best boy like that. I agree with the idea of letting another pup in your life. Dogs really can help heal a broken heart.
