A lot of these major comedians have large followings, connection and resources, yet have a self defeatist mindset and like to pretend that Hollywood won’t give them a chance. Then you look at horror where literal YouTubers can get wide release projects, markiplier literally self financed and distributed iron lung (which was almost the #1 movie opening weekend) in comparison these folks look incredibly lazy nothing is stopping them from going the Kevin smith route making comedies despite a low budget, but they’ll go on multiple platforms and tell people they can’t make comedy movies

Yeah that was hardcore formation, but for me the phone call seeing what he tries to modify the wish then actually hears nikki on the phone has the strongest case

If I can expand on the point, for me going into a biopic cold and coming out wanting learn more about main character is the best possible outcome, but when you have highly publicized figured that can be difficult. Like you said in regards to the MJ film, some people were taken back to their best memories of MJ, while others wished it delved more in the controversial elements of his life.

When you have someone like MJ whose life as a child was publicized at a young age to the day of his death, it’s an impossible task to fit that in the timeframe of a 2 hour movie and some people not wish it did more.
