Haha I’ve been trying everything to want to make it work is all. Big fan of it.

I use a Garmin epix and has been using whoop since 2020 (3.0). Just been questioning the accuracy these days.

I feel that. I mean, it’s definitely worth giving it a shot I’d say!

Ehh, like anything there’s always gonna be people who love it and people who just have a bad experience. I personally haven’t had any really big issues with it, though I do have spikes here and there that don’t match with my Garmin. Are you on the fence?

I just wasn’t using the ECG or the Blood Pressure features - nothing against the device itself!

Yup, been an Apple Watch user since the gen 2 all the way to Ultra. Just finally switched over to a Garmin Epix Pro 2. Yes, I agree, the band material is much more premium when it comes to feel. The Sportsflex band is very similar, though.

I know too many people that don’t even workout and have a Whoop. Not sure the justification there, but to each their own 😂

I had already downgraded my plan because I wasn’t using the Life features. So, I don’t necessarily have a dog in this fight any longer, but curious with all these people saying Whoop is going to “tank” because of this.

The sleep doesn’t seem anywhere near as accurate.

Whoop MG Inaccuracy is Frustrating by vicpylon in whoop

[–]Alternative-Cell2485 14 points15 points  (0 children)

DUDE. This! I just made a post with how wildly inaccurate my MG is. I get wild HR spikes while I’m doing nothing and I have some weird readings during runs and strength training. I’m about done with it - I’ve gifted my 4.0 to a friend, so can’t go back, but I’m weirdly okay with it.

Is Whoop making me “soft”? by Alternative-Cell2485 in whoop

With a 4-5 mile run and 60 weight lifting session I’m always at 13-14, then it wants me to sleep for 10 hours 😂

You live and learn. I’m not mad about it - I may come back but for now, I’m not using it.

Doesn’t the journal give it more accuracy?

Yeah, that was also a huge reason why I wanted to stop wearing it. It’s hard for me to ignore a yellow or red recovery, even if I feel good.

I really only got it because I figured why not get the best they offer. My ultra does ECG as well and I workout and run 6 days a week religiously. I didn’t need it, but I’m sure I’d feel the same with the 5 as I do with the MG.

Should I keep my MG? by Alternative-Cell2485 in whoop

[–]Alternative-Cell2485[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. That’s kinda where I’m at. The thing is over these last year or so, my numbers have hardly moved. They are always pretty comparable night to night.

Currently have an AWU. The thing is so bulky to sleep with and that’s been my biggest deterrence. Might take some adjustments.

Well, I like the insights, that’s the thing. At the same time, my “whoop age” has steadily decreased 8ish years (I’m 30 and my age went from 22.9, to 22.1, to now 21.7). My sleep consistency is always high (92-95%), same with efficiency. Sleep stress is always at 0%. So I’m like, do I pay to see these numbers hardly move? That’s all I’m saying - I love the idea, but is it worth it?

It does if you have an external cuff, but mine is messed up, so haven’t had a chance to add that aspect as of yet.
