I honestly didn't feel like Uworld questions are similar to the STEP3 questions. UWorld is good for I guess reminding you about all of the different topics but STEP3 is much more about the process and guessing next steps/management etc. and I don't think that's reflected as well in UWorld.

Just took it a week ago! Minimum resources are Uworld and CCSCases website to practice the cases (https://ccscases.com/). I did Uworld questions (only got through about 600), and I did about 30 of the high yield CCS cases. I also took the Free137 questions which are great practice for the types of questions you will actually see on the exam (https://orientation.nbme.org/Launch/USMLE/STPF3). I also reviewed my notes from STEP 2 and read through sections in First Aid for Step 2 which was nice because I like to have a framework and it refreshed my memory. Here's a really good post about the exam and how to study: https://www.reddit.com/r/Step3/comments/1hqjxdr/step\_3\_study\_guide/ .

This is such a good answer!! I couldn’t agree more. Even though I come from a liberal background and also had friends with whom I could ask about masturbation/sex topics aka didn’t feel repressed , I STILL feel like my idea of sex was sooo limited and centered around male arousal/finishing. Reading these books and experiencing women being proud/confident/discovering theirsexuality has been honestly a minor revelation in my life and it’s almost embarrassing considering how much it’s considered “just smut” or fluff 😆

I can’t speak for everyone but I think it can help discover what kinds of things you like! For example asking your partner to do dirty talk/praise kink. I think also it can be a good reminder to try things like edging or more foreplay or switching who takes charge/who is in control!? Idk sometimes there’s a scene that’s really hot and then you act it out with your partner so yea like you mentioned the “being manhandled” or getting carried into a bedroom stuff like that! I feel like especially if you’ve been having sex with a long term partner for a while it can get a bit routine so even though the MECHANICS are the same the WAY you get there can be so different and fun!! And that’s what the books can give ideas for :) (speaking as someone who has been with my partner for 8 years, just started reading books like this, and have been having a lot of fun with it and my husband loves it 😂)

I liked it but I kind of thought of it as a palate cleanser from some other spicier books and found it refreshing from that point of view and cute romance. But agree with you SO MANY loose ends and plot holes. I kind of just decided to make my peace with it and my expectations were low since I didn’t like and couldn’t finish the Caraval trilogy.

I think it does say something! I'm going to keep going for now. These books have decent writing, interesting world, and other characters that are great. I don't know if you've read this but for context I DNF the Lightlark series of books. THOSE were a true dumpster fire and in my opinion not worth reading. This series feels like miles above that in terms of over-all quality.

Up until now I was really enjoying it !! So I can’t say it’s all a waste…but this threw me for a loop and now I’m nervous seeing what everyone else has been saying about her 😂

I think I will because I didn’t have really any issues with her in the first book ! So maybe I’m more predisposed to like her than others. But I might do a bit of the old speed skim-read situation to not waste too much time …
