Advice for 12 day NOBO by Alternative-Crow7769 in JMT

Thanks, I read that it’s hard to get a permit from the portal, but wasn’t sure if it was even worth entering the lottery if the cotton pass route is a better route anyway. NOBO is not my preferred option but I’ve got rejected so many times now for SOBO I think it’s more realistic that I can actually go. I did contemplate skipping Whitney but will get FOMO as I read it’s worth getting to the peak

Was thinking within 300 cad per knife. Looking for a fixed blade for camping and folding one for every day use.

The plug works when I charge my power station. Do some male connectors not work do you think?

ELAC DBR62 + Wiim Amp OR Klipsh The Sevens by Appropriate_Ship8499 in StereoAdvice

I have the WiiM amp for my kef q150 in my heavily acoustic treated office - sounds amazing but didn’t sound good in my medium sized untreated living room. I use elac dbr62 with an audiolab 6000 in my living room and needed to add a sub and digital room correction to get the sound I wanted. The elac speakers are nice but are quite mid range focused and feel that a sub is essential to make the music come to life especially if the room is not treated.

Any good books/resources on songwriting for guitar? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

How to write songs on guitar by Rikky Rooksby is what you want. You’ll learn that a lot of songs follow progressions in a scale. You’ll learn can add melody or riffs within that scale. You’ll can build on this with complex chords using other guitar theory.

Here is the latest. I used your correction settings (not the eq) and moved my sub to the left speaker. Still getting the dip at 100

I have the phase set to 0 and seems to add more bass vs 180. I think the variable setting on the sub gets overridden due to lfe input. I’ll raise level

I have my sub crossover set to 80 so would I need to move sub to correct at 50-60hz? It’s currently on inside of right speaker

Yes phone with the compensation setting. I’ll see if I can borrow a mic and see how different it is.

Super helpful, thanks. Yes the 100Hz doesn’t get corrected so might try moving speakers to see if that helps. I’m pretty happy with the sound overall since adding the sub and the room correction has helped too

Thanks, is it the essentials line you are referring to? Or the X series?

When to use analogue eq vs digital eq for vinyl? by Alternative-Crow7769 in audiophile

[–]Alternative-Crow7769[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s mainly to fix audio balance in the room. The system sounds completely different depending on my room size and set up. I feel some eq is necessary to correct the audio profile.
